Nora & Samuel || Destination Exploration
Looping her scarf around her neck, her pale hand tugged a piece of hair behind her ear turning her head slightly to look at him as he spoke. He weak smile making her ponder if he was okay, though she was probably just over worrying. Letting her fingers run over the fabric of her coat, smoothing it down; Nora bit her lip lightly as her eyes scanned her room for her vintage camera - one of her prized possessions -.
Though hearing his words, her mind adverted from her search to briefly look over at him. Sheepishly, the girl blushed lightly. “…it’s um..thanks. My l-life’s work.” Nora shrugged quietly gesturing to everything in the room, the piles of sketchbooks and work surrounding them. “..I couldn’t sleep w-with it so bare..so I-I made m-my thoughts..dreams..hopes..fears.. memories go. On the w-walls. E-everyone of t-thems different..different emotions and s-stories. N-no one’s really um..s-seen it before, n-no one really c-comes in here.” The girl said embarrassed.
Walking quietly over to her bed, she plucked the object from where it was hiding under a pillow making sure the strap was tightly attached before putting it around her neck aswell. “S-Sounds l-like a good plan.” Nora nodded quietly. “I’m r-ready when y-you are.”
Still in awestruck, Samuel only took a step back once he noticed the embarrassed tone in Nora's voice, and he took a step back from the door before focusing his attention to her. "Sorry." he mumbled rubbing the back of his neck. From what he knew about the art on the wall they were pieces of Nora, nothing less and probably something more than he could have imagined. Despite being lost in the colors and patterns that represented every fiber of the other girl. It wasn't entirely something a person would share on the first hang-out he was sure.
"Next semester you have to decorate my room, maybe. If Nicholas doesn't scream his lungs off at me." he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. "We're roommates, but one day we're probably going to werip our throats off."
Gesturing her the direction, Samuel began to walk slowly, waiting once he saw Nora not behind him. Smiling lightly at the other girl, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and let the wind hit his face. It was a nice night that night anyways, one of the many Alabama proved to have. California nights were lit up with city lights, but Alabama seemed to be much different than that. Culver Creek seemed to be much different than a lot of things.
"So you're going to take pictures?" Samuel asked, looking at Nora with a curious look to his eye at the vintage camera hanging around her neck. "What have you taken pictures of so far?"
