Cities:Skylines yeah has a lot of DLC but I see people going “it would cost $200 to buy all of it!!!” And yeah that’s a lot but here is a lot of dlc… and I play the sims 4 so seeing the $200 price tags is like… less than four expansions with since that games dlc is over $1400 at this point. So I kinda just roll my eyes like you think that’s a lot go play sims that’s the key example of money greed.

This came up again bc Paradox revealed Life by You, a sims competitor, and people are going !!! Paradox as evil as EA with DLC!! uh no no one can compete with EA for being that shitty with dlc and value (lack thereof). Do I expect dlc? Yeah. But it’ll be $20 and have more content than unmatching build items and rabbit holes.

People complaining that when 7days gets the ps5/xsx version released they’ll have to buy it again… it’s almost like the entire games industry operates on a model like that or similar, an indie dev doing that makes sense, especially since they weren’t the ones responsible for the ps4/Xbone version. Different version of the game + different console gen + different company behind it.

I’m not happy about it but I’m willing to be understanding that the legal back half of all this might be difficult/not sunshine and daisies.

Thinking about Pangea and how all the continents were together and there was just vast ocean everywhere has my thalassophobia just ever present in my mind and I don’t like it.

Thinking how my husband calls the Therizinosaurus in Ark:SE “the Tickler” makes me smile, because I hate coming across them early on but I feel better when my character dies to one and all I can think of is “I’ve been tickled to death by the Tickler”

Much better than what would likely be disembowelment.

Sora in the PotC world has always been jarring but I now realize he’s seen people legit die (or basically die in Will’s case) and that’s just… I dunno kinda freaky because everyone around him doesn’t die, there’s just heartless and nobodies for the most part.

Also port Royal in 2 left a bad taste in my mouth for PotC, but 3 has redeemed it

Some days I think “maybe today I’ll pick KH3 up again.” Then I remember the main reason I like KH isn’t the main focus (Saïx/Isa) so I go back to play king 358/2 Days because there I can look at Saïx in both disdain and sad understanding. Oh Isa 💙 you need a hug

I never considered myself a fan of ‘survival’ games so pls ignore my hundreds of hours in Ark and 7 Days I don’t even like zombies

Oh my god did they finally fix the dpad nog working on TS4 console? That’s only been an issue probably since launch BUT FINALLY. Was real irritating too I was recording a beginners guide to console sims 4 and that bug happened every time.

So husband and I agreed that with our next pays we’ll each get something gaming; he needs a new controller and would like farming simulator ‘22, and he knows I want some packs for sims but I am fully aware the devs are cooking up a pack to be teased in May and I really wanna wait because what if it is something super epic (fae… please… maxis…) BUT May might be when S3 preorders start as well so I’m kinda ehhhh I dunno if I want to say “I’d like Tiny Living and Moschino pls.” Because the packs are on sale sometimes. (I mean they are always under the sale tab bc I get 10% thanks to game pass ea play discount but that just counts for most of the taxes (which is 12%)) but rn they’re 30% off and I never know how long those sales last.

I just want op tiny houses for getting achievements and the best modern windows in the game.. nifty knitting might also pique my interest eventually

I know we’re getting a stuff, game or expansion pack; they’re working on gameplay mechanics and shoes together for [redacted] but I honestly don’t know what they could do now besides lycanthropy, fae, cars… I mean, they COULD overhaul babies but who’d want that… right?

Love how my computer decides a video file I’m editing that is only 2.7 GB in size needs a 28 GB file when all I’ve done is REMOVE footage. It decided to make a file for every fuckin frame of a half hour video. :|

My husband’s cousin is asking me to teach him how to play Sims and I am at such a loss. 1500+hours in a game and I have NO idea where to start.

Times like this I just should make little videos on how to do a thing in a game. Soooo often do I get asked about this from friends and family so might as well!! So like: “Sims 4: How To Series” “Splatoon 2: How To Series” “Terraria: How To Series” “GTA Online: How To Series”

Ill want to start things fresh so I’ll make a new account on my Xbox for some games. Then switch games it’s just deleting old saves.
