"Yes," Mina says as Heathcliff guides her through the grounds of the cemetery. "This is beautiful! It's the perfect venue for an intimate ceremony."
"My lady," Heathcliff whispers as he takes her hand. "We are not alone." Mina stops in her tracks, the sound of a beating heart and heavy breathing infiltrating her senses.
"Good evening," Niles bows his head ever so slightly at the couple standing before him. "I apologize for the intrusion."
Despite his apology, he looks extremely pleased with himself. "Is this the infamous town of Forgotten Hollow?"
Heathcliff chuckles, "Why, another mortal! Mina, my love, it seems you have started somewhat of a trend." He looks to Niles, mildly impressed by his candor. "And what business do you have here, sir?"
"I'm a journalist of sorts," Niles explains. "One of the best, really. I'm here to get the scoop on this place for my very successful blog."
"No," Mina says firmly. "You will leave here with no memory of this place, or you will not leave here at all." Heathcliff stands behind her, amused. "My heart, what is a blog?"
"That's cute, but I don't take orders from anyone." Niles retorts much too casually, "Besides, I'm not leaving without my proof."
"I see. Well, I think I know what it is you want," says Mina coyly. "Here, allow me to show you."
Within seconds, Mina has Niles in a trance, ready to create her fifth childe.
Her powers now great enough to complete the process without entering her dark form, she drinks deeply from this egotistical intruder's neck without hesitation.
Unaware of his own actions, Niles binds himself to Mina as he takes her arm and bites down on her wrist.
"Wait, what just happened?" The self-proclaimed journalist is suddenly overcome with exhaustion.
He passes out cold and falls to the ground, his memory wiped and his body sore.
When he finally comes to, the early morning sunlight is peeking through the heavily drawn curtains of his apartment windows.
"What the fuck," he mutters as he sits upright on his sofa. He tells himself it was all just a horrible nightmare, but the dirt on his face and the aching in his stomach say otherwise.
