My name is Alfred, and I am known as the Science Kitty. My little buddy, Krispie, believes that having a blog would be beneficial to my work, and since he is almost always right I am happy to oblige.

My top three favorite scientists.

Number 1: Momma Jenny

You knew that I couldn’t choose my favorite scientists without choosing the woman that raised me from a tiny little kitten. Without Momma, I would have never been such a curious, little thing. I would have never wanted to venture outside of my comfort zone. I would have never knocked over her experiment onto my head and became the brilliant scientist I am today. Momma Jenny is the best human in the whole world, and my brothers and I are forever grateful for her.

I love my mother, and she loves me.

Creating Paints for my Little Buddy

If you’re reading this, you might believe that all of my experiments are doomed to fail before I even begin. Well, you’re wrong. I have created paints that are safe for my little buddy, Krispie, to use. He can dip his paws into the paint without wondering if they’re going to harm him if he gets it on his nose.

I like to mix fruits and veggies with water and flour to make Krispie’s paints. Sometimes if we do not have fruits and veggies I will use food grade dye, and that works too. I am happy that I can keep my little buddy smiling. That’s all I ever want to do.

My top three favorite scientists

Number 2: Albert Einstein

He was the man that came up with the Theory of Relativity and E=MC2. Most people can thank him for inspiring a generation of scientists, and I would fall into that category as well. What I really like about Einstein was how down to earth he was. He wasn’t just a genius, but he was a real person. I hope to be a nice and maybe as brilliant as he was. Also, his hair looks like mine does on days when I let Krispie clean me.

Not All of my Experiments Fail, but This One Did.

If we do not fail, we will never learn to succeed. I don’t remember where I heard that, but it rings true. This experiment did not go so well, and it has led to the lot of us sitting outside in the backyard for the time being until the unearthly amount of smoke clears the house.

I might have been a little distracted when I began this experiment. Momma has end-of-the-month review coming up, and I have been checking and double checking her work to be sure that she obtains the promotion she has been after. Momma is a good person, and she deserves the best.

So maybe I should have just focused on her work instead of leaving my workstation to double check her experiment again. The moment I smelt smoke, I knew I had done wrong. Quickly, I tossed my experiment into a sink full of water, but the damage had already been done. Smoke slunk through the house alerting Momma and Shaun. We were all evacuated, and I felt guilty. If I had just kept my eyes on my own work, I would have never caused such a mess.

I must learn from my mistakes. Thankfully, there was no fire to put out. Sadly, Krispie, just might have to start a new painting. I am sorry, little buddy.

My top three favorite scientists.

Number 3: Bill Nye

As a young kitten, before I was the smartest cat in the world, I would lounge in Momma’s lap and watch as she watched Bill Nye on YouTube. I thought he was an interesting fellow. I liked his bowtie, but now that I’m older and much, much smarter, I see the benefit of listening to him as a kitten. I feel my experiments are much more thought out, and some may even call them fun. Plus, I have a bowtie now as well.

Ever since Alfred went and got himself smarter, he’s turned into more of a jerk. Apparently, Cats Named Bird Don’t Fly. Who Knew?

If we were meant to have wings, we would have grown them, right? It is my scientific duty to try and circumvent that. If you do not know, I have a brother named Birdie. No, he is not a bird, he is a feline like myself. He has always wondered what it would be like to fly, so being the best brother and smartest cat in the entire world, I took it upon myself to craft him a pair of wings, so he could fly.

In his sleep, I measured him because I wanted this to be a surprise. Oh, he was surprised alright. I used a few pieces of wood, some feathers, and a lot of Momma’s craft glue and soon I had wings. When I presented them to my brother Bird, he was speechless. We climbed to the roof of the house, I strapped the wings to his back and instructed him to soar.

Hesitant as ever, the poor cat jumped. I would have thought we were in some sort of cartoon the way he just hovered for a moment before plummeting to the ground. Thankfully, no bones were broken, but he did end up eating dirt. I apologize, brother Bird.
