My birthday is coming up on October 29 and I’ve been planning and scheming to make the day perfect. I asked my mom if she could help me with my outfit as I am poor and Amazon is weird. What I want is the glorious suit thing @strange-aeons was wearing at dashcon 2 while fighting the muppet joker. I tried to find images of her wearing it but was only able to find pictures of the muppet fight. (If anyone has pictures of her outfit where she isn’t making tumblr history it would be much appreciated if you shared them with me.) Not wanting to keep my mom waiting and also curious as to what would happen, I sent them over to my mom. My mom who has little to no knowledge on what Strange, Tumblr, dashcon, or the godly abomination that is muppet hole are.

Needless to say she is very confused.

So I’ve been listening to the audiobook for Alone With You in the Ether by Olivie Blake a lot recently as it is my mother’s favourite book and she asks me to put it on whenever we are in a room together. Last night I had a dream where I was reading a physical copy of the book but the title was changed to “Anal With You in the Ether.” I remember the dream so clearly down to my thought process, noting that that was a weird name for a book, and then easily accepting the fact that my mom loved a book about hexagonal bee butt sex like it was the most normal thing in the world.

We have some very exciting things to announce: DashCon 2 merchandise is opening for pre-order this week!!

Cosplay Photoshoots

In preparation for the publishing of the map and tentative itinerary, we are taking a leaf out of Anime North’s book and opening the floor to cosplay photoshoot applications.

At conventions, Cosplay Photoshoots are when cosplayers from specific fandoms/fandom groups organize a time and place outdoors next to the convention hall to take photos together. The given fandom can be as broad as ‘Idol’ or ‘Tumblr Sexymen’, or as specific as ‘Homestuck.’

These photoshoots are entirely unofficial and unaffiliated with convention staff. They are typically led by one or two cosplayer attendees who want to gather everyone else cosplaying in their fandom in one area for half an hour or so. Non-cosplayer fandom enthusiasts are welcome to come and take photos of the cosplayers, too!

If you want to host one, all you need to do is email [email protected] with your name, fandom, and general time! We’ll help you coordinate a photoshoot spot.

NEW HANNIBAL RP CASTING CALL!

This is for a canon casting, later on we'll also do an oc casting.

Reminders before we begin

The requirements are Having watched both the NBC Hannibal show and the movie "Silence of The Lambs" because there will be many influences.

This is mandatory.

The other reminder is just a warning, when you get casted, you'll get a dedicated post and your writing sample (that has to be character related and can be literally anything regarding the character you're applying for. First or Third person, stuffs like that.) will be posted in it.

Characters available and requirements!

•Jack Crawford: Not much to say besides analyzing well both him in the show, especially the third season, and in The Silence of The Lambs, his attitude towards Clarice.

•Alana Bloom: She is the boss now, Chilton is out of the game, and she's the one in charge of the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, so keep that well in mind.

•Margot Verger

•Freddy Lounds: Pretty much the conspiracy theorist we all need and love, one of the people who 100% believes Lecter and Graham are alive.

•Jimmy Price

•Clarice Starling: Of course her character is gonna need to have a good remix. You up to decide how to rearrange her with the show, she won't be a love interest but that doesn't mean she can't bond well with our killers. I have a few ideas we can discuss, but of course she will be very relevant.

•Ardelia Mapp: Clarice's friend and colleague, othe possible relevant role, even if in the silence of the lambs she isn't a main character, this can give you lots of freedom in her writing.

•Buffalo Bill (Jame Gumb): Might be an handy role for someone who isn't much active, lots of solo writing, but yet again, we can arrange some interactions with other characters who don't know he is the serial killer. Or do know, like Hannibal perhaps.

Remember to audition for two or more characters so that you still have a chance of entering.
