Flying saucer paintings by Esther Pearl Watson

Esther grew up in small-town Texas with an interesting family:

Her Father has spent much of his life obsessed about the idea he could build a working flying saucer and sell it to NASA or Ross Perot. Esther’s upbringing and family life revolved around her Father’s goal.  Luckily Esther is a journal keeper and most of her paintings are autobiographical where she revisits those journal entries.

She’s also the author of Unloveable, comics made from a girl’s diary of the 1980s, found in a gas station restroom, and Whatcha Mean, What’s A Zine?, a book she made with her husband about about making zines. Love her stuff.
