Good morning NYC #1776feet #solongstinktown @melissaaislynn (at 9/11 Memorial Preview Site)
Killer Mike - Reagan
As we wind down til oblivion (or 2013--whichever comes first), I will continue to try to keep a smile on my face. Thank you KILLER MIKE for putting out FUN RAP MUSIC in 2012. HOLLER
Deftones - Tempest
Deftones can do no wrong. The most prolific and forward-thinking alt-metal band of the past 15 years continues to make brilliant records.
Hilarious reggae version "Boxcar" by '90s punk legends Jawbreaker.
Who knows which came first, the idea for a reggae-version of the Bay Area anthem-- or the realization that the name Jahbreaker is too good to pass up.
Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault = Bad Weed, Dealer's Fault ... BRILLIANT!
Stay crazy forever.
Seriously.
Sports Sidenote: How could something so natural looking go so horribly wrong?
Titus Andronicus - "Still Life with Hot Deuce and Silver Platter"
The band ballsy enough to make a punk rock Civil War-era concept record does it again. This time their on their new Springsteen-meets-Jello Biafra power pop record "Local Business" they choose to name track 2 after what sounds like quite the painting.
One of the most important bands in [punk] rock is back with another winner--cheers Titus Andronicus, we'll be drinking to that.
No Age - "Glitter" on PitchforkTV
The LA experimental punk duo (live they're a three-piece) bring the thunder in this HiDef pop-meets-noise jam. Props to Pitchfork for putting out a series of amazing/high quality videos featuring No Age.
Here's another personal favorite, "It's like The Shining meets Dirty Dancing: nobody puts Johnny in a corner":

Quicksand - "Dine Alone" reunited live, Williamsburg Brooklyn, 2012.
Today's one of those days that I thank the good Ford that he made us YouTube.
Make sure you juice this on up to 720p, kids.
Brand New - "Jesus"
One of the best songs of the past five years--nevermind the pop punk, here's rock and roll.
Hilarious explanation of why Papa Roach sucks but also kinda doesn't.
"International You Day" - Tony Sly w/Joey Cape from Lagwagon (by No Use For A Name)
So it's been a heavy week and a half since Tony Sly suddenly and tragically passed away. The guy left a two young girls and his wife. Donate here. It's weird when you don't know someone, but when they pour so much heart out via their music, I think it's safe to say: you actually do know them.
This song's for his wife. Probably the best punk rock "from me to you / girrrrrfriennnn" song written in my humble opinion. Please try and top me on that one.
Joey and Tony have been touring for a long time now (frontmen from '90s punk bands) and Joey suffered a tough bandmate loss a few years back. Thoughts and prayers to Joey as well.
Here's a great tribute also by Nick from The Swellers: HERE
Sigh. RIP TONY SLY.
No Use For A Name - "Coming Too Close"
RIP Tony Sly
