Ophelia took a moment while she waited for her iPod to reboot, and caught the sight of the woman beside her, she moved on, but then jumped as though startled, doing a double take. The girl’s presence hadn’t registered the first time. “I’m sorry, was I in your way?” Ophelia asked with a smile.

Allison watched as the girl started to run along, a little confused when she once again turned back. She shook her head at the question, waving it off with her hand absent-mindedly. “No. Sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb. Just had to stop for a moment.”

“Sorry, I just - I noticed your bump.” Imogen said, wringing her hands over her own abdomen. “What’s it like?” She asked, “I mean, you’re an omega, right, so it might be different but…sorry, you probably don’t want to be interrupted. I’ll just go.” She said, turning to leave.

Allison felt guilty as soon as she had heard the girl’s true intentions, regretting having judged her and having only harsh words. She bit her lip before calling the other brunette back. “Wait. Sorry, it’s just lately some people around town have been more concerned with me as an asset rather than a person,” she said in way of apology before trying to shrug gently and joke, “ I wouldn’t really know if it was different, I’ve only ever been a pregnant Omega.”

“If you came over here to shout at me for ditching my guard I’ll have you know he’s in the car. I don’t take well to people watching me eat, him or you.”

Slowing down from her run, Ophelia stopped to adjust her iPod, not seeing who approached her from the side.

Allison spotted the figure in front of her, catching up even as her feet persisted in telling her that they were already far too sore. She finally gave up trying to outrun her, ironically stopping beside the girl, as her ankles told her to rest.

The smile faded and Scott’s eyes slid away, fingers twisting nervously against the top of the table. The more people who knew what was going on, the greater the danger, but it was difficult to keep secrets from people who lived in their house. “Scottie is with Kira, Stiles is…things are a little complication right now. The thing with Jackson hurt us, Allison. My grandmother-, no one can know or she’ll do something to them.”

Allison watched as Scott’s happy demeanour faded, feeling guilty that it was her fault. As she heard the risk of a threat her left hand slid over her stomach protectively and instinctual, but her right reached out for Scott’s. She gave it a small squeeze. She let a small uncomfortable silence follow. She hated moments like this, never knowing what to say or how to comfort. Finally she whispered, “How are we going to fix it?”

Who do you consider your parents?

Chris and Victoria Argent

Are they your biological parents?

Definitely.

Who are your siblings?

Biologically, none. But in my heart my friends are my siblings.

Where do you live?

I live with the McCalls right now, although I sense that might change soon.

Who do you live with?

The McCall pack, or the shell of it.

What is your main source of income?

I used to nanny for Lydia, now I’m kind of relying on Scott until Bump comes along.

How far have you gotten in school?

Graduated high school.

How often do you attend school?

I don’t go to college.

How do you commute?

I used to run a lot, but now I’m taking the car more.

What do you drive?

An SUV

On an average weekday (not weekend), what does your character do?

Allison get’s up, takes a shower and gets some breakfast. She’ll go to the preserve in her car, have a quick jog then archery and shooting practise. She always makes sure to be home before dinner.

Who is your best friend?

I have several. Lydia, Scott, Stiles, Malia. All for different reasons.

Who is your worst enemy? OR who does your character see as the biggest threat to them?

Anybody who hurts those I am meant to protect.

Who do you trust the most? The least?

I trust Scott more than anybody. Least is definitely Peter.

Who do you respect the most?

Stiles.

What is your greatest strength?

My ability to do my job right. To protect.

What do you, as the mun, think is your character’s greatest strength?

Her sense of justice.

What is your greatest weakness?

I can let my feelings get in the way.

What do you, as the mun, think is your character’s greatest weakness?

Her stubbornness.

“Sure, if I can.” He looked at Allison, suddenly worried. Was she okay? Was the baby okay? Ruth kept him on a tight leash, but if there was something Allison needed him to do, then he’d try his best for her like he always had. “As long as it’s not something like buy you a farm or steal the crown jewels, I’m not really good at stuff like that, dude.”

Allison saw Scott’s worry, wanted to put him at ease but also hoped that the worry would benefit her. Hoped that if he would open up to her more if his guard was down. She kept her big hopeful brown orbs trained on him as she asked quietly and almost hesitantly, “Where is Stiles? And why does everybody keep looking at me like I’m a kicked puppy when I say I want to see Scottie?”

“It does, Allison. Thanks.” That was one weight off his shoulders. He hadn’t known what his grandmother would have thought about an uncontracted omega who wasn’t part of the staff living in their home. A whispered word about potentially being the father of Allison’s child had meant Ruth grudgingly agreed to let the omega stay, but Scott didn’t trust her to keep his friend safe. “We just have to keep our heads down for now.”

Allison shrugged, suddenly wishing she’d saved some of those wonderful fries from the diner. They might have lightened the mood. An idea occurred to her, now was her shot. She didn’t think Scott could directly lie to her, not when she cared so much about Stiles and Scottie. She bit her lip as she looked up to let his eyes catch her hopeful ones. “Since I’m doing a favour for you, will you do one for me?” she asked in a hushed tone.

Scott feigned a broken heart. “Nooooo, my poor empty stomach. I’ll never forget this, Argent. Next time, I’ll bring back a whole bag of quesadillas and make you watch while I eat them all.” It was easier to pretend to be happy when Allison was around, the world didn’t seem so bleak. “You really have to take guards. You can’t take care of yourself, I’m sorry. It’s no knock on your skills, dude. You’re way more dangerous than I am, but that doesn’t mean crap against the people we’re up against. Do it for Bump.”

Allison let her tongue poke through her lips just slightly, although it was nice to see Scott smile. It had seemed like a long time since somebody had smiled in the McCall hose, especially Scott. “Like you could ever say no to my puppy dog eyes,” she teased before letting out a small sigh, “Scott, my parents starved me until I could eat with ring daggers. While you learn to ride a bike I was learning how to shot a gun. When everybody else was reading fairytales, I read The Art of War. I have been taking care of myself for a long time. But, if it makes you feel better I’ll take somebody with me next time.”

“You know, sneaking out doesn’t really work when you have more security than the president dude.” Scott said teasingly. “Just make sure you take a guard with you next time, I told them they should give you some space but I don’t want you to put yourself at risk even if you’re just getting a burger.” The alpha put on his best puppy face. “You didn’t actually happen to bring me a burger back, did you?”

Allison raised her eyebrows and said teasingly, “I managed, obviously you let them be a little too laxed with me.” She rolled her eyes and pouted when Scott mentioned the guards. “Do I really have to?” She asked, “I’m more than capable of taking care of myself. I never leave home without a weapon.” She bit her lip with a guilty smile, “I promise you I did. I really did...but then Bump got hungry while we were training.”

The alpha looked up, managing a smile as he waved his friend over. “Hey, Allison. Want a drink? Probably something a little more in the fruit juice or milk family, though.” Scott was a good liar, it was one of his strengths but it was hard to keep the stress and worry from his face now. He gave it his best effort, valiantly trying to be positive. “I’ve been having a little trouble sleeping lately and I figured this might be better than taking a fist full of sleeping meds. Where’ve you been?”

Allison made her way over to Scott, her senses telling her that something wasn’t quite true about what Scott was saying, his face betraying him as the worry in his eyes became clear. “I wouldn’t mind a little water,” she swallowed as her throat suddenly got dry with thirst. She looked at him, shrugging slightly as she tried to look even a little ashamed that she had snuck out when he already had so much going on. She didn’t think it worked, a night away had been good. “Oh you know, went out for a bite to eat,” she said dismissively.

Scott wasn’t much of a drinker, but he hadn’t been able to sleep in days and the liquor helped quiet the worries that bounced around his skull. Control, that was always the heart of it, wasn’t it? Control over his pack, control over his actions, his grandmother’s control over his life. Sometimes, he wished he could just disappear again back before red eyes when life had been simple.

Allison hadn’t seen Stiles or Scottie in days and every time she asked somebody what had happened she was ignored. She tried to comfort herself over the fact that maybe nothing serious had happened, but she knew that wasn’t right. They wouldn’t have left her to stress if the weird mood in the house hadn’t to do with it. She would be in some dingy old motel where she could forget it all, or even back in Paris where she had nobody. She would even settle for being back with Lydia if it meant that everybody would stop keeping things from her. She made her way through the back door after sneaking out the night before, hoping that nobody would be there to ask where she had been. Then she spotted a familiar shape over the table. “...Scott?” she whispered hopefully.

“ That’s exciting! I sometimes wish that I had a girl” She sighed softly. “ All the cute bows and ribbons. I  mean I could put bows on Toby but I don’t think he would really like that”

“Really? This little guy is just the cutest. His little fingers and his little mouth and his little toes,” she ran her fingers over the baby’s hands softly, “The only bows little Argent will be given by me will be the archery kind.”

Derek felt a bit more at at ease when he saw the girl smile. But he also felt the challenge in her voice. “I might not be as big as your previous targets, but I might be faster?” He said trying to hold back a laugh

Allison shrugged. “Guess we’ll never know, I promise that I would be a little bit more calm with Bump around,” she stroked her stomach softly, “Maybe piss me of in a few months and it will be a different story.”
