it reminded me bc bob dylan is credited w a ton of big protest songs and he’s kinda seen as this activist figure much like mcr is now among some circles. and im not saying that they aren’t bc ofc they are — plenty of ppls lives have been changed by stuff they do. but if it’s a question of putting ur money where ur mouth is then u can absolutely never expect a big celebrity to stand up for ur rights

yeah it definitely would be nice! I honestly doubt it will happen though. Sadly mcr has always been very “politically neutral” (something I don’t think can actually exist) and no I don’t think any of them have right wing beliefs (especially in regards to trans people) but they have never been artists known to take meaningful political stances. that’s not me making an excuse for them, of course. I say that with criticism
