Watching the Bells Hells contest Percy about Delilah is so heartbreaking. Obviously from the Bells Hells perspective (and our own as audience members) we want Laudna back. Whatever it takes. Delilah has been beaten before, they can beat her again.

But Percy doesn’t see it that way. Yes Laudna was a sun tree victim, he feels the weight of her death as he feels it for all of the victims of the sun tree. But the moment he learns with Laudna there’s also Delilah, he says no. He won’t do it. They cannot risk it. He won’t risk it. Orym challenges Percy, you’ve had something holding your spirit before. But Bells Hells doesn’t understand. They don’t understand what Delilah has done. What she has taken from him

His Mother.

Ludwig.
