Learn how to paint hollyhocks in three different ways with water colours. This is what I’ll show you how to do in this episode. I’m painting a cluster of hollyhocks, and then two different ways to go about when painting the flowers on a branch. In one I’m using wet in wet technique and in the other I’m going to overlap the petals in the flower creating more life in the flowers. Even if you’ve never painted in water colours before you can follow along and paint.

Finally summer is here!!! To be honest I thought that it would never arrive this year. Even though I’m now living in more southern degrees this summer really had me waiting for it but now it’s here and I feel like there’s jus so much to do, so much to photograph, so much to paint. I’m just not sure how to manage to do it all in just a month cause let’s be honest with warmth also comes drought and that means less flowers to paint and photograph so I better get to work while they are here. In this episode I’m focusing on the gorgeous hollyhocks that seems just like the roses to be everywhere in every garden and corner of the street here in the island.
