Talking Wine With Jon Bonné

Jon's main idea behind his new book was “if you could google it, we didn’t want to put it in”

Jon said there was an era when many California wineries were attempting to compete with European wineries in quality and exorbitant price. He cites both this and this winery as establishments that have kept with that old school mentality

Jon said this winery is an example of a more current generation of wine makers who's prices are more reasonable but the quality has stayed the same

The guys talked about the importance of acidity as a palate cleanser and the reason this popular soda pairs so well with food

Jon’s wife, a wine importer, says being a server at this chain restaurant was the greatest learning experience for being in the food and wine industry

While the guys agree that this movie seems to be the most popular wine movie, Jon shared why this movie is the best wine movie of all time

Jon is also the senior contributing editor of this cocktail-driven online magazine

Jon said his ultimate cocktail is this interpretation of a negroni that originated at this Seattle cafe

Andre loves a boulevardier with this particular liqueur

Hannah suggested a granola recipe from this cookbook or suggested that the guys check out this New York based granola company

Hannah mentioned a chili oil recipe that inspired her to make her own

Hannah said that her coworker has used a very expensive hairdryer to dry a roasted chicken

Hannah recently wrote an article about a Brooklyn based Uzbek restaurant that also uses hairdryers in the kitchen
