Stanley snuck into the office, quietly as he could.. Their own office hadn't been kind to them, he had no reason to risk what was left of himself here. He trailed around some guard dog's path, taking a wide berth to avoid tripping up whoever took their territory so seriously.. It was nothing he wanted to get involved with, that was for sure..
All he needed was batteries, as many as he could get his hands on. It was important, to him.. Stanley couldn't stand the fizzling hissing of noise that came out everytime the narrative tried to dictate another harsh critisism of how he spent his time in an empty void, of all places. Really, what else was there to do but play cards?

This office that they found themselves stumbling into was possibly a harsh reminded, sight wise, of what used to have been. Everything looked rather similar, if not more expanded and.. well, almost lived in. Of course there was the occasional desk and chair, but more decorations like paintings and potted plants had seemed to be coded into the place. Its not too drab now, actually- my god, the windows even had new curtains!
Standing in the midst of it all, well, moreso just a bit further away near a coffee machine had been standing a rather bundled up looking woman in a large sweater, a beanie, and some big square glasses on her nose.
"....Who the fuck are you..? Are.. Are you the Stanley of this place..? My fucking god, we havent seen you in like a.... Uh... A ye.. year...?? what HAPPENED to you?"
The newness of the office felt uncanny, like coming home after a long time away to find that everything had been moved just slightly.. He was wary... Slinking in darker spots as much as he could... But his body, the black, dead pixels, made him stand out like a sore thumb.
His heart, what was left of it, shot up into his throat as the women noticed him. He wasn't an expert at sneaking.. She'd managed to sneak up on him without even trying.
Bethany could see it in the rise and fall of his chest, even without a clear outline.. The way his eyes had widened, every glance to the side... He was absolutely terrified of her- at least for a split, piercing second.
He gathered his wits quickly, shaking his head to decline her assumption. Pretending to be an impostor wasn't a road he wanted to go down, no matter how much it irritated the narrative. He simply didn't feel right taking another's place. He pointed to one of his few defined features, a nametag.. Clearly reading Employee #427. So he was definitely a Stanley.. Presumably.
She furrowed her brows a bit, squinting at the nametag- who even wears those anymore?- until she came to the conclusion that... he was A stanley, just maybe not their original one.
"I see... uh... probably just... visiting then..? God, uh..- Shit-"
She just realized that she spilled a bit of the coffee from the pot onto her hand, not into her mug. She flinched, gritting her teeth and putting the pot back onto the burner. The woman wiped her hand onto her sweater, groaning at the inevitability of having to deal with a burn for the next 24 hours.
"Uhhff... Uhm- Just what... can I do you for, then..? To uh... presumably get you out of here..? Looking for... something? Someone? Eh?"
The Stanley flinched in turn, flighty in the new office.. Truly, he felt.. naked, now. Without any of the comfort of that familiar, monotone void.. He felt exposed. Too many colors, he thought. There's just simply too many.
It took him a moment to realize she was asking him a question at all.. After he realized she wasn't a threat.. Or secretly hiding something dangerous. He wasn't sure why he would think such a thing, honestly... Not everyone was out to get him, even if living under the very entity that would love nothing more than to erase him had taught him otherwise.
It had been... some time, since he had needed to communicate. Sign language wasn't his forte.. Especially not when his fingers blended together like this. He looked around for something to write on.. Maybe something portable would be nice, just to carry in case he needed it..
She waited for a few seconds, giving him time to respond- Before she smacked herself in the face with a weird noise
"Fucking- Duhhh you're a Stanley. Where the hell are my manners? Gimme a sec.."
She takes a quick sip of her coffee- grimaces since it was too hot- then sets it down. Bethany then proceeds to dig through her pockets before pulling out a small notebook and a pen. She slowly hands the two to him, slow with her movements after beginning to see how jumpy the guy really was.
"Im gonna need the pad of paper back after- I got uh... notes... in there..."
He stared at her for a long second before taking the pen and pad in his hands and beginning to write. His hands shook slightly, making his writing a little jittery... He was out of practice with this style of communicating.
Stanley turned the pad around again to show Beth his words..
"Thank you," he wrote in thick strokes.. Like he had traced the letters once or twice to get the shape right.
"I'm looking for batteries.. AA" he waited until she had read the words on the page before carefully ripping off the paper from the pad and folding it up to poce into an unseeable pocket.
She read the message, not seeming to struggle with any clarity of the writing- She did have a lot of people she worked with in the past that had worse handwriting than this guy does afterall. Bethany nodded, smiling softly.
"Just batteries? Yeah man, I got you.. There's a couple places where we got em, but ive been hoarding a few packs in my office. Stay here for a bit and I'll get a pack for you, okay?"
The tension in his shoulders seemed to lighten as he nodded quickly, anything to get him back sooner.. The narrative was waiting on him, after all. Rather impatiently. Incredibly impatiently, he might say.

He wasn't allowed to sneak out as much anymore, not even to his office.. He missed it terribly, but this felt.. close, at least.

Down the hall a while later, the sound of footsteps was heard again- but it didn't sound like it belonged to that woman he saw earlier. They sounded a lot smaller, more.. cautious. Predatory.
In front of him stood a small, glitchy looking child with his black hair falling down his back. All the kid did was... stare at him for a bit, gritting teeth and... contemplating, maybe? They looked deep in thought. They didn't say anything though..

The kid was a relief, probably just nervous around someone new to the office.. He did look a little menacing at times, given the dead pixels that comprised his body.. He always looked like a shadow, flat or all too featureless. He was lucky enough to have visible eyes at all.
He waved at the kid, assuming that they had something similar to himself.. The glitching probably made them an outcast, he thought, maybe this kid didn't quite know how to react to a stranger.. The least he could do was be friendly.
They just kept... Staring at the stranger. Coda didn't know why, but just.. the feeling of this dude seemed off. Or.. Alluring? They couldn't put a word to them. It's some weird aggression in their deeper code, something telling them that it would be such a good idea to just.. see what this stranger was made of.
They were holding back though, clearly. Rex had voiced deep disappointment in them continuing to kill before- and they would probably get in trouble for attacking a stranger, a friendly seeming one at that, with no seeming threats at all.
Oh but GOD did they want to.
The child shakily, almost tensely raised a hand to wave back- Despite this weird anger they felt, or maybe a strange... hunger, they felt.- They didn't seem a threat. It wouldn't be justified. He'd probably get grounded.
The man tilted his head, slightly.. Body language was all he had left, really.. As much of that as he could manage at least. Maybe this kid was mute too.
He didn't remember when he had lost his voice, or if he'd ever had one at all- But it didn't matter as much, he was here, and it was something he worked with. Maybe this kid was.. similar? Too nervous to speak, maybe.. He could sympathize with that...

Kids at that age tended to still have some lingering stranger danger, if he remembered correctly. They only looked maybe 7 or 8 years old... "Oy! Hey! Coda!"
She walks over, immediatly suspicious of the interaction the two of them are having. She places a hand on his shoulder, whispers something into the kid's ear- And he begins to scamper away. The woman in red sighs, handing over the pack of batteries.
"Sorry about.... them... Uh.... They're... They're weird around... Stanleys... I think..? Maybe a weird jealousy thing, or, or uh- Just.. ignore whatever that was."
Coda was still looking from around the corner. Bethany noticed, and turned back.
"Hey! What did I say, Go play-!"
And he finally walks away-
Stanley's eyes widened a little in surprise, taking the batteries from Bethany.. His gaze remained stuck on Coda until the kid finally scampered off for good. What an.. oddity.. Its not his place to judge though, no matter how odd. He was definitely probably weirder to the kid than the other way around...
He perked up a little with a shale of his head, retrieving the note from his pocket and flashing the top message to her.. Just thanking her again with a clear bow of his head. He'd never hear the end of it if he failed to get the batteries- truly.
All he had left was to make his way back to the door he'd entered from.. Just a quick walk down a couple of halls. He waved to the woman before he left, hoping nothing else came up before he reached the door.
The woman gave a small chuckle, nodding along after seeing the message again. "Hey, it's no biggie, really. Besides, these are like... actually pretty much everywhere around here- My office was just closer." She gave a final wave, allowing the man to go about going back home.
Just when Stanley turns a corner though, he can bizarrely feel a set of eyes on him once again, a quiet coldness in the atmosphere, a tension. This lingered for several moments, before a small, soft glitchy voice came from around the corner. "Wh--y do YOU get to go to n--ew offices? Huh..? Aren't- Aren't you a protagonist too? Wh-y do YOU get to leave your game, h-uh..?!"
Stanley nearly jumped out of his skin as the voice came out of nowhere.. He wasn't in the business of sensing the air, he couldn't read a room without analyzing the faces of at least three people.. Or his ever so helpful narrative pointing out the obvious.
He blinked at Coda, unsure how to respond right away.. He finally held up one hand, fishing the note out of his pocket again to show to the kid.. He folded it in half, showing them the bottom message.
"I'm looking for batteries.. AA"
He held up the pack in hand, establishing that he'd met his goal.. Surely even a kid could understand that he meant now to be on his way back... He couldn't answer the rest of that, really...
"Can just... do that. Go out for something so... so-"
The little... child, turned away with a grimace, fingers twitching against the wall's edge he was standing by.
"E-Even my.. SISTER can leave-..! She goes out all the times, even when she's not supposed to!"
He stomps his foot- the threat of a beginning tantrum.
"And when I try, I can't even get through the DAMN DOOR-!"
Another stamp of their foot.

The man shrank back a little.. This wasn't his job- he might be good with kids.. but... he didn't know this kid-

It took him a moment to realize she was asking him a question at all.. After he realized she wasn't a threat.. Or secretly hiding something dangerous. He wasn't sure why he would think such a thing, honestly... Not everyone was out to get him, even if living under the very entity that would love nothing more than to erase him had taught him otherwise.
It had been... some time, since he had needed to communicate. Sign language wasn't his forte.. Especially not when his fingers blended together like this. He looked around for something to write on.. Maybe something portable would be nice, just to carry in case he needed it..
She waited for a few seconds, giving him time to respond- Before she smacked herself in the face with a weird noise
"Fucking- Duhhh you're a Stanley. Where the hell are my manners? Gimme a sec.."
She takes a quick sip of her coffee- grimaces since it was too hot- then sets it down. Bethany then proceeds to dig through her pockets before pulling out a small notebook and a pen. She slowly hands the two to him, slow with her movements after beginning to see how jumpy the guy really was.
"Im gonna need the pad of paper back after- I got uh... notes... in there..."
He stared at her for a long second before taking the pen and pad in his hands and beginning to write. His hands shook slightly, making his writing a little jittery... He was out of practice with this style of communicating.
Stanley turned the pad around again to show Beth his words..
"Thank you," he wrote in thick strokes.. Like he had traced the letters once or twice to get the shape right.
"I'm looking for batteries.. AA" he waited until she had read the words on the page before carefully ripping off the paper from the pad and folding it up to poce into an unseeable pocket.
She read the message, not seeming to struggle with any clarity of the writing- She did have a lot of people she worked with in the past that had worse handwriting than this guy does afterall. Bethany nodded, smiling softly.
"Just batteries? Yeah man, I got you.. There's a couple places where we got em, but ive been hoarding a few packs in my office. Stay here for a bit and I'll get a pack for you, okay?"
The tension in his shoulders seemed to lighten as he nodded quickly, anything to get him back sooner.. The narrative was waiting on him, after all. Rather impatiently. Incredibly impatiently, he might say.
He couldn't blame him though, he'd be lonely without a protaganist to watch, even if it was just playing solitaire by himself.
He picked a chair as she left, sitting down and almost, tentatively allowed himself to relax.. It wasn't perfect.. but he almost wished he could bring the full picture here. He wasn't allowed to sneak out as much anymore, not even to his office.. He missed it terribly, but this felt.. close, at least.
When she left, it seemed as though she were going to be gone for a few minutes. Possibly to find them is all, but at least he didnt have to do any of the work scavenging for them himself.
Down the hall a while later, the sound of footsteps was heard again- but it didn't sound like it belonged to that woman he saw earlier. They sounded a lot smaller, more.. cautious. Predatory.
In front of him stood a small, glitchy looking child with his black hair falling down his back. All the kid did was... stare at him for a bit, gritting teeth and... contemplating, maybe? They looked deep in thought. They didn't say anything though..

He waved at the kid, assuming that they had something similar to himself.. The glitching probably made them an outcast, he thought, maybe this kid didn't quite know how to react to a stranger.. The least he could do was be friendly.
They just kept... Staring at the stranger. Coda didn't know why, but just.. the feeling of this dude seemed off. Or.. Alluring? They couldn't put a word to them. It's some weird aggression in their deeper code, something telling them that it would be such a good idea to just.. see what this stranger was made of.
They were holding back though, clearly. Rex had voiced deep disappointment in them continuing to kill before- and they would probably get in trouble for attacking a stranger, a friendly seeming one at that, with no seeming threats at all.
Oh but GOD did they want to.

"Oy! Hey! Coda!"
She walks over, immediatly suspicious of the interaction the two of them are having. She places a hand on his shoulder, whispers something into the kid's ear- And he begins to scamper away. The woman in red sighs, handing over the pack of batteries.
"Sorry about.... them... Uh.... They're... They're weird around... Stanleys... I think..? Maybe a weird jealousy thing, or, or uh- Just.. ignore whatever that was."
Coda was still looking from around the corner. Bethany noticed, and turned back.
"Hey! What did I say, Go play-!"
And he finally walks away-
Stanley's eyes widened a little in surprise, taking the batteries from Bethany.. His gaze remained stuck on Coda until the kid finally scampered off for good. What an.. oddity.. Its not his place to judge though, no matter how odd. He was definitely probably weirder to the kid than the other way around...
He perked up a little with a shale of his head, retrieving the note from his pocket and flashing the top message to her.. Just thanking her again with a clear bow of his head. He'd never hear the end of it if he failed to get the batteries- truly.
All he had left was to make his way back to the door he'd entered from.. Just a quick walk down a couple of halls. He waved to the woman before he left, hoping nothing else came up before he reached the door.

He trailed around some guard dog's path, taking a wide berth to avoid tripping up whoever took their territory so seriously.. It was nothing he wanted to get involved with, that was for sure..

Stanley couldn't stand the fizzling hissing of noise that came out everytime the narrative tried to dictate another harsh critisism of how he spent his time in an empty void, of all places. Really, what else was there to do but play cards?

This office that they found themselves stumbling into was possibly a harsh reminded, sight wise, of what used to have been. Everything looked rather similar, if not more expanded and.. well, almost lived in. Of course there was the occasional desk and chair, but more decorations like paintings and potted plants had seemed to be coded into the place. Its not too drab now, actually- my god, the windows even had new curtains!
Standing in the midst of it all, well, moreso just a bit further away near a coffee machine had been standing a rather bundled up looking woman in a large sweater, a beanie, and some big square glasses on her nose.
"....Who the fuck are you..? Are.. Are you the Stanley of this place..? My fucking god, we havent seen you in like a.... Uh... A ye.. year...?? what HAPPENED to you?"
The newness of the office felt uncanny, like coming home after a long time away to find that everything had been moved just slightly.. He was wary... Slinking in darker spots as much as he could... But his body, the black, dead pixels, made him stand out like a sore thumb.
His heart, what was left of it, shot up into his throat as the women noticed him. He wasn't an expert at sneaking.. She'd managed to sneak up on him without even trying.
Bethany could see it in the rise and fall of his chest, even without a clear outline.. The way his eyes had widened, every glance to the side... He was absolutely terrified of her- at least for a split, piercing second.
He gathered his wits quickly, shaking his head to decline her assumption. Pretending to be an impostor wasn't a road he wanted to go down, no matter how much it irritated the narrative. He simply didn't feel right taking another's place. He pointed to one of his few defined features, a nametag.. Clearly reading Employee #427. So he was definitely a Stanley.. Presumably.
She furrowed her brows a bit, squinting at the nametag- who even wears those anymore?- until she came to the conclusion that... he was A stanley, just maybe not their original one.
"I see... uh... probably just... visiting then..? God, uh..- Shit-"
She just realized that she spilled a bit of the coffee from the pot onto her hand, not into her mug. She flinched, gritting her teeth and putting the pot back onto the burner. The woman wiped her hand onto her sweater, groaning at the inevitability of having to deal with a burn for the next 24 hours.
"Uhhff... Uhm- Just what... can I do you for, then..? To uh... presumably get you out of here..? Looking for... something? Someone? Eh?"
The Stanley flinched in turn, flighty in the new office.. Truly, he felt.. naked, now. Without any of the comfort of that familiar, monotone void.. He felt exposed. Too many colors, he thought. There's just simply too many.

He trailed around some guard dog's path, taking a wide berth to avoid tripping up whoever took their territory so seriously.. It was nothing he wanted to get involved with, that was for sure..

This office that they found themselves stumbling into was possibly a harsh reminded, sight wise, of what used to have been. Everything looked rather similar, if not more expanded and.. well, almost lived in. Of course there was the occasional desk and chair, but more decorations like paintings and potted plants had seemed to be coded into the place. Its not too drab now, actually- my god, the windows even had new curtains!
Standing in the midst of it all, well, moreso just a bit further away near a coffee machine had been standing a rather bundled up looking woman in a large sweater, a beanie, and some big square glasses on her nose.
"....Who the fuck are you..? Are.. Are you the Stanley of this place..? My fucking god, we havent seen you in like a.... Uh... A ye.. year...?? what HAPPENED to you?"
The newness of the office felt uncanny, like coming home after a long time away to find that everything had been moved just slightly.. He was wary... Slinking in darker spots as much as he could... But his body, the black, dead pixels, made him stand out like a sore thumb.
His heart, what was left of it, shot up into his throat as the women noticed him. He wasn't an expert at sneaking.. She'd managed to sneak up on him without even trying.
Bethany could see it in the rise and fall of his chest, even without a clear outline.. The way his eyes had widened, every glance to the side... He was absolutely terrified of her- at least for a split, piercing second.
He gathered his wits quickly, shaking his head to decline her assumption. Pretending to be an impostor wasn't a road he wanted to go down, no matter how much it irritated the narrative. He simply didn't feel right taking another's place. He pointed to one of his few defined features, a nametag.. Clearly reading Employee #427. So he was definitely a Stanley.. Presumably.
She furrowed her brows a bit, squinting at the nametag- who even wears those anymore?- until she came to the conclusion that... he was A stanley, just maybe not their original one.
"I see... uh... probably just... visiting then..? God, uh..- Shit-"
She just realized that she spilled a bit of the coffee from the pot onto her hand, not into her mug. She flinched, gritting her teeth and putting the pot back onto the burner. The woman wiped her hand onto her sweater, groaning at the inevitability of having to deal with a burn for the next 24 hours.
"Uhhff... Uhm- Just what... can I do you for, then..? To uh... presumably get you out of here..? Looking for... something? Someone? Eh?"
The Stanley flinched in turn, flighty in the new office.. Truly, he felt.. naked, now. Without any of the comfort of that familiar, monotone void.. He felt exposed. Too many colors, he thought. There's just simply too many.
It took him a moment to realize she was asking him a question at all.. After he realized she wasn't a threat.. Or secretly hiding something dangerous. He wasn't sure why he would think such a thing, honestly... Not everyone was out to get him, even if living under the very entity that would love nothing more than to erase him had taught him otherwise.
It had been... some time, since he had needed to communicate. Sign language wasn't his forte.. Especially not when his fingers blended together like this. He looked around for something to write on.. Maybe something portable would be nice, just to carry in case he needed it..
She waited for a few seconds, giving him time to respond- Before she smacked herself in the face with a weird noise
"Fucking- Duhhh you're a Stanley. Where the hell are my manners? Gimme a sec.."
She takes a quick sip of her coffee- grimaces since it was too hot- then sets it down. Bethany then proceeds to dig through her pockets before pulling out a small notebook and a pen. She slowly hands the two to him, slow with her movements after beginning to see how jumpy the guy really was.
"Im gonna need the pad of paper back after- I got uh... notes... in there..."
He stared at her for a long second before taking the pen and pad in his hands and beginning to write. His hands shook slightly, making his writing a little jittery... He was out of practice with this style of communicating.
Stanley turned the pad around again to show Beth his words..
"Thank you," he wrote in thick strokes.. Like he had traced the letters once or twice to get the shape right.
"I'm looking for batteries.. AA" he waited until she had read the words on the page before carefully ripping off the paper from the pad and folding it up to poce into an unseeable pocket.

Narra had been standing in her little pocket room with a spread out of maps and notes and ideas on the floor. Some little things like different flowers and some decorations lay on the ground unfinished- Glitching in and out of existence from the WIP code. She had a paper bunched up in her hands- Narra looked over towards Story, and in an instant her eyes started welling up with tears from the anxiety.
"Storrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........,,,..,"
"Darling-" she gasped, spotting the tears in her eyes.. A tendril moved forward, curling under her chin as Story got close.. She hadn't even bothered to wear her usual vessel, coming as she was for what she assumed was a needed conversation..
"What's wrong? What happened my love?"
"U-Uhmm... Uhhmmn.. Hh..- The..- What kind of-- did you.-."
As she tried to talk she seemed to get all tongue tied. Narra didn't exactly seem to be hurt at all- Just flushed and anxiety ridden. It seems as though she had just gotten herself overwhelmed by something. The woman tries to catch her breath, think through her words- She wasn't exactly ready to ask yet, but its been flung onto her.
Eventually she just pushes the paper into on of Story's tendril's and averts her eyes. The paper had a list of potential party ideas and a list of people- A lot of them were scribbled out and rewritten, then blotted out again and replaced with something else. The only thing on top was a scribbled title to the lists; "WEDDING :)"
Story took a moment to read it, trying to parse the items on the list before deciding it a fool's errand. There was something more important to address anyways, right in front of her.
"Oh darling.. You wanted to ask about our wedding? You should have asked sooner, I can help you plan," she giggled softly, pulling the narrator closer by the shoulder.. It approximated a hug well enough, even if Story didn't fully pull her right up to her main body.
"You should refrain from exhausting yourself over a day in your honor, you'll enjoy it more that way."
She hung her head low with a relieved sigh, an almost visible retraction of her woes and stress. A small murmer escaped the narrator's chest as she was pulled into the hug- That gentle flushed tone of pink against her cheeks and her iris beginning to fade to that softer pink tone instead of purple.
"Mmmnn... You're uh.. You're right... I got all.. overwhelmed... bout it I guess... I just thought I could do it cuz' I planned Rex and Raphael's but... Its harder thinking for ours for some reason.."
"Occasionally I find it much more difficult to consider what I want, as opposed to what others want.. I would not expect any more from you dear."
She quieted a moment, looking at the messy list in her tendrils..
"Why not run some ideas by me, and we can write them down on a new list, no crossing anything out. We can make new lists as we narrow everything down."
Her feathers ruffled behind herself, shimmering in the dull lighting above her as she nodded quietly at her lover's idea. Story always seemed to know just what to do... She loved that woman. This was... a whole lot more organized of a plan than what Narra had been messing with.
So she sits down criss cross on the floor and picks up a fistfull of the flowers on the ground below- Still sparking and glitching every 5 seconds or so, but enough to get a good idea.
"I was.... I cant decide between.. roses or... lillies... for these... and I dunno what.. color, uhm- What... whst flowers do... you want..?"
Story followed them, crouching a little on the floor to view the flowers.. She studied them for a moment, before a tendril pointed to the lillies.
"White will go well with any colors, but I suppose, given our ease in changing the colors, " she pointed to the roses. "-that these rounded shapes may be more pleasing, depending on how they should be arranged."
And with a flick of her wrist she tosses the lillies over her head and focusses on the roses in her hands. She takes a while to say anything else, just looking at the roses and trying to string together the words.
"What... color.. you thinking...?"
With the rate of how shes asking these questions it might take them days to plan out everything. They still dont even have a place to do this.
"Well.. I suppose anything would pair with white.. Why not pink? It reminds me of you," she hummed softly, wrapping one tendril under her chin..
"Why don't we start with bigger questions, darling?"
A gentle flush of that aforementioned pink color sprouted nicely on those cheeks of her's, murmering and averting her gaze for a moment. She was a little bit nervous, but she agreed. Its probably better to ask about venues.
"So.. So I'm not certain if I should.. Have it at my office or not. Theres a lot more characters there, and I wouldn't want to disturb their daily life, y'know..? I uhm.. Im not sure where to have it otherwise.."
"Surely they can't be using all of it.. But I suppose my office would work just as well if you could.. supply the code.."
Her tendril curled up a little, rubbing over her flushed cheeks.. Story really had missed them while she had been working..
"Well no, of course not, I just... I don't know, they've been stressed out and I sort of wanted to gove them space. Maybe I could make another chunk of the map for it..?"
She leaned against the tendril with that loving gaze of her's, staring into the shadowy, inky figure with utmost admiration. God, it was nice just looking at her. And even moreso thinking about the fact that Story was her's- And she was going to be one with her with the ceremony they would go through.
"You're so prettyyyy... Mhh..."
Don't let her get distracted now!
Story had already been set on course, looking over her shoulder at the strewn about decorations as she hummed.. The narrator was practically just a stress ball at this point as she spoke.
"Why not use one of the maps you already have dear, surely there's one of them that isn't being used as a living space..?"
She allowed her lover to press and knead against her cheeks, a soft giggle escaping her with lidded eyes.
"I could uhmm.... I could have it in the erm... camera... thingy. Yknow... with the screens and the WaaaAa mind control! Id just... delete the objects in there for the wedding and keep the lights, Heheee..."
"That sounds lovely dear.. with the location, we can choose decorations and details more easily. "
She hummed softly, browsing the half made examples in search of a new question..
"Let us see now.. What should we decide next lovely? "
She bites her bottom lip, pulling absentmindedly at some papers and looking upon them with quiet distance. She... hadn't really thought any further than that. She murmers rather quietly as she tried to think up the most bare bones wedding responses that she had NAILED when she had been setting up Raphael and Rex's celebration.
"....Do you think we should get a pinata, or is that only for birthday parties..."
Story thought on it for a moment.. That was certainly not a wedding item.. but.. it seemed like something that would entertain her lover.. She could make compromises, as long as it made the other happier.
"Well I suppose that depends on you, my dear.. Do you want a pinata? "
"Do YOU want a pinata..?"
She asks the question, but her eyes are glistening when she does and it is very, VERY clear that she wants a pinata- But its not just her wedding. It's her and Story's. Narra gets to throw parties all the time! Or she used to... Guess she got a little more laid back.
Oh she HATES that she's gotten more laid back.
Her wings shift and puff behind her, anticipation for the answer. In reality it was simply like she was asking permission.
Story giggled softly, her normally cool voice warmed by the affection that seeped through..
"Yes dear, I would like the pinata.. What would you like to fill it with? Flower petals would work nicely, if you'd like to scatter them.."
Another moment of thought, before her eyes absolutely shined and gleemed with excitement. She came to an idea and grinned so brightly, the swirl in her eyes going a bit faster.
"Flower petals, and- And maybe those little candy conversation hearts! You know, the ones that are EVERYWHERE around like, valentines. Id wanna get a good kind tho, most of the time they taste like CHALK which...Not BAD ahahhh just... Not sure anyone else eating it would think so hehhh.."
Story squeezed her affectionately, practically having her entirely entangled in her grasps by now..
"That sounds cute, I rather like it dear.. And I suppose we should decide on attire as well, no?"
Narra could feel herself being sized up, a tendril squeezing around her waist slightly.. Appreciatively..
"I cannot wait to see what you pick out my love~"
A small, nervous laugh escaped her as she was squeezed in those loving tendrils of her betrothed. Narra hadn't actually been aware of just how handsy Story had been getting with her again- She knows Story would never admit it, but Narra knows that she just adored playing with her a little. Regardless, the woman relaxes into the grip, allowing Story to do whatever she pleased with her.
"I could wear nothing at all if you'd like."
"That is for after the wedding, my dear," she giggled lightly, brushing a tendril through her hair.. She'd been completely enamoured with her, the one thing she didn't feel the need to perfect.. In Story's eyes, she already was.
"You would look rather pretty in something less frilly.. I suppose, perhaps a suit, if you wished.. I myself will.. find something suitable to my form.."
"OhhHhh you want me to be in a suit, huhhh? What, so you can pull my tie..~?"
Clearly the woman was just teasing, a chuckle escaping her as her eyes looked liddedly towards her lover. Not much she could do to move like this, so her upper hand is with her words.
"I was planning on it... not too much a fan of dresses, wearing them myself I mean.."
Story chuckled softly, kneading at her partner gently in her grasps.. She couldn't seem to get enough of her, practically starving until this moment.. Often being caught up in her work kept her away from this, even as much as she missed it.
"I suppose I do, my love.. You would prefer I pull your tie? ~"
Certainly Narra could not find herself to keep up with the flirtation and advances. Her cheeks were flushed with that signature pink, chest fluttering as she really tried to process everywhere Story had been touching on her- Story wasn't this handsy when she first met her, she remembers. Rather secluded, and she had been the one to initiate things instead. Oh how much she's grown.
Alas, she shouldn't let this get too steamy; This isnt the right place to do something like this anyway.
"Ahohooo... Ahm... what.. color do you think my ss...suit should be..? Standard black?"
"You would look darling in black.. I suppos I will need to will need to wear white.. Perhaps a dash of pink.. You could include a dash of ah.. Blue, perhaps? "

"Flower petals, and- And maybe those little candy conversation hearts! You know, the ones that are EVERYWHERE around like, valentines. Id wanna get a good kind tho, most of the time they taste like CHALK which...Not BAD ahahhh just... Not sure anyone else eating it would think so hehhh.."
Story squeezed her affectionately, practically having her entirely entangled in her grasps by now..
"That sounds cute, I rather like it dear.. And I suppose we should decide on attire as well, no?"
Narra could feel herself being sized up, a tendril squeezing around her waist slightly.. Appreciatively..
"I cannot wait to see what you pick out my love~"
A small, nervous laugh escaped her as she was squeezed in those loving tendrils of her betrothed. Narra hadn't actually been aware of just how handsy Story had been getting with her again- She knows Story would never admit it, but Narra knows that she just adored playing with her a little. Regardless, the woman relaxes into the grip, allowing Story to do whatever she pleased with her.
"I could wear nothing at all if you'd like."
"That is for after the wedding, my dear," she giggled lightly, brushing a tendril through her hair.. She'd been completely enamoured with her, the one thing she didn't feel the need to perfect.. In Story's eyes, she already was.
"You would look rather pretty in something less frilly.. I suppose, perhaps a suit, if you wished.. I myself will.. find something suitable to my form.."
"OhhHhh you want me to be in a suit, huhhh? What, so you can pull my tie..~?"
Clearly the woman was just teasing, a chuckle escaping her as her eyes looked liddedly towards her lover. Not much she could do to move like this, so her upper hand is with her words.
"I was planning on it... not too much a fan of dresses, wearing them myself I mean.."
Story chuckled softly, kneading at her partner gently in her grasps.. She couldn't seem to get enough of her, practically starving until this moment.. Often being caught up in her work kept her away from this, even as much as she missed it.

Narra had been standing in her little pocket room with a spread out of maps and notes and ideas on the floor. Some little things like different flowers and some decorations lay on the ground unfinished- Glitching in and out of existence from the WIP code. She had a paper bunched up in her hands- Narra looked over towards Story, and in an instant her eyes started welling up with tears from the anxiety.
"Storrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........,,,..,"
"Darling-" she gasped, spotting the tears in her eyes.. A tendril moved forward, curling under her chin as Story got close.. She hadn't even bothered to wear her usual vessel, coming as she was for what she assumed was a needed conversation..
"What's wrong? What happened my love?"
"U-Uhmm... Uhhmmn.. Hh..- The..- What kind of-- did you.-."
As she tried to talk she seemed to get all tongue tied. Narra didn't exactly seem to be hurt at all- Just flushed and anxiety ridden. It seems as though she had just gotten herself overwhelmed by something. The woman tries to catch her breath, think through her words- She wasn't exactly ready to ask yet, but its been flung onto her.
Eventually she just pushes the paper into on of Story's tendril's and averts her eyes. The paper had a list of potential party ideas and a list of people- A lot of them were scribbled out and rewritten, then blotted out again and replaced with something else. The only thing on top was a scribbled title to the lists; "WEDDING :)"
Story took a moment to read it, trying to parse the items on the list before deciding it a fool's errand. There was something more important to address anyways, right in front of her.
"Oh darling.. You wanted to ask about our wedding? You should have asked sooner, I can help you plan," she giggled softly, pulling the narrator closer by the shoulder.. It approximated a hug well enough, even if Story didn't fully pull her right up to her main body.
"You should refrain from exhausting yourself over a day in your honor, you'll enjoy it more that way."
She hung her head low with a relieved sigh, an almost visible retraction of her woes and stress. A small murmer escaped the narrator's chest as she was pulled into the hug- That gentle flushed tone of pink against her cheeks and her iris beginning to fade to that softer pink tone instead of purple.
"Mmmnn... You're uh.. You're right... I got all.. overwhelmed... bout it I guess... I just thought I could do it cuz' I planned Rex and Raphael's but... Its harder thinking for ours for some reason.."
"Occasionally I find it much more difficult to consider what I want, as opposed to what others want.. I would not expect any more from you dear."
She quieted a moment, looking at the messy list in her tendrils..
"Why not run some ideas by me, and we can write them down on a new list, no crossing anything out. We can make new lists as we narrow everything down."
Her feathers ruffled behind herself, shimmering in the dull lighting above her as she nodded quietly at her lover's idea. Story always seemed to know just what to do... She loved that woman. This was... a whole lot more organized of a plan than what Narra had been messing with.
So she sits down criss cross on the floor and picks up a fistfull of the flowers on the ground below- Still sparking and glitching every 5 seconds or so, but enough to get a good idea.
"I was.... I cant decide between.. roses or... lillies... for these... and I dunno what.. color, uhm- What... whst flowers do... you want..?"
Story followed them, crouching a little on the floor to view the flowers.. She studied them for a moment, before a tendril pointed to the lillies.
"White will go well with any colors, but I suppose, given our ease in changing the colors, " she pointed to the roses. "-that these rounded shapes may be more pleasing, depending on how they should be arranged."
And with a flick of her wrist she tosses the lillies over her head and focusses on the roses in her hands. She takes a while to say anything else, just looking at the roses and trying to string together the words.
"What... color.. you thinking...?"
With the rate of how shes asking these questions it might take them days to plan out everything. They still dont even have a place to do this.
"Well.. I suppose anything would pair with white.. Why not pink? It reminds me of you," she hummed softly, wrapping one tendril under her chin..
"Why don't we start with bigger questions, darling?"
A gentle flush of that aforementioned pink color sprouted nicely on those cheeks of her's, murmering and averting her gaze for a moment. She was a little bit nervous, but she agreed. Its probably better to ask about venues.
"So.. So I'm not certain if I should.. Have it at my office or not. Theres a lot more characters there, and I wouldn't want to disturb their daily life, y'know..? I uhm.. Im not sure where to have it otherwise.."
"Surely they can't be using all of it.. But I suppose my office would work just as well if you could.. supply the code.."
Her tendril curled up a little, rubbing over her flushed cheeks.. Story really had missed them while she had been working..
"Well no, of course not, I just... I don't know, they've been stressed out and I sort of wanted to gove them space. Maybe I could make another chunk of the map for it..?"
She leaned against the tendril with that loving gaze of her's, staring into the shadowy, inky figure with utmost admiration. God, it was nice just looking at her. And even moreso thinking about the fact that Story was her's- And she was going to be one with her with the ceremony they would go through.
"You're so prettyyyy... Mhh..."

Story had already been set on course, looking over her shoulder at the strewn about decorations as she hummed.. The narrator was practically just a stress ball at this point as she spoke.
"Why not use one of the maps you already have dear, surely there's one of them that isn't being used as a living space..?"
She allowed her lover to press and knead against her cheeks, a soft giggle escaping her with lidded eyes.
"I could uhmm.... I could have it in the erm... camera... thingy. Yknow... with the screens and the WaaaAa mind control! Id just... delete the objects in there for the wedding and keep the lights, Heheee..."
"That sounds lovely dear.. with the location, we can choose decorations and details more easily. "
She hummed softly, browsing the half made examples in search of a new question..
"Let us see now.. What should we decide next lovely? "
She bites her bottom lip, pulling absentmindedly at some papers and looking upon them with quiet distance. She... hadn't really thought any further than that. She murmers rather quietly as she tried to think up the most bare bones wedding responses that she had NAILED when she had been setting up Raphael and Rex's celebration.

She had a paper bunched up in her hands- Narra looked over towards Story, and in an instant her eyes started welling up with tears from the anxiety.
"Storrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........,,,..,"
"Darling-" she gasped, spotting the tears in her eyes.. A tendril moved forward, curling under her chin as Story got close.. She hadn't even bothered to wear her usual vessel, coming as she was for what she assumed was a needed conversation..
"What's wrong? What happened my love?"
"U-Uhmm... Uhhmmn.. Hh..- The..- What kind of-- did you.-."
As she tried to talk she seemed to get all tongue tied. Narra didn't exactly seem to be hurt at all- Just flushed and anxiety ridden. It seems as though she had just gotten herself overwhelmed by something. The woman tries to catch her breath, think through her words- She wasn't exactly ready to ask yet, but its been flung onto her.
Eventually she just pushes the paper into on of Story's tendril's and averts her eyes. The paper had a list of potential party ideas and a list of people- A lot of them were scribbled out and rewritten, then blotted out again and replaced with something else. The only thing on top was a scribbled title to the lists; "WEDDING :)"
Story took a moment to read it, trying to parse the items on the list before deciding it a fool's errand. There was something more important to address anyways, right in front of her.
"Oh darling.. You wanted to ask about our wedding? You should have asked sooner, I can help you plan," she giggled softly, pulling the narrator closer by the shoulder.. It approximated a hug well enough, even if Story didn't fully pull her right up to her main body.
"You should refrain from exhausting yourself over a day in your honor, you'll enjoy it more that way."
She hung her head low with a relieved sigh, an almost visible retraction of her woes and stress. A small murmer escaped the narrator's chest as she was pulled into the hug- That gentle flushed tone of pink against her cheeks and her iris beginning to fade to that softer pink tone instead of purple.
"Mmmnn... You're uh.. You're right... I got all.. overwhelmed... bout it I guess... I just thought I could do it cuz' I planned Rex and Raphael's but... Its harder thinking for ours for some reason.."
"Occasionally I find it much more difficult to consider what I want, as opposed to what others want.. I would not expect any more from you dear."
She quieted a moment, looking at the messy list in her tendrils..
"Why not run some ideas by me, and we can write them down on a new list, no crossing anything out. We can make new lists as we narrow everything down."
Her feathers ruffled behind herself, shimmering in the dull lighting above her as she nodded quietly at her lover's idea. Story always seemed to know just what to do... She loved that woman. This was... a whole lot more organized of a plan than what Narra had been messing with.
So she sits down criss cross on the floor and picks up a fistfull of the flowers on the ground below- Still sparking and glitching every 5 seconds or so, but enough to get a good idea.
"I was.... I cant decide between.. roses or... lillies... for these... and I dunno what.. color, uhm- What... whst flowers do... you want..?"
Story followed them, crouching a little on the floor to view the flowers.. She studied them for a moment, before a tendril pointed to the lillies.
"White will go well with any colors, but I suppose, given our ease in changing the colors, " she pointed to the roses. "-that these rounded shapes may be more pleasing, depending on how they should be arranged."
And with a flick of her wrist she tosses the lillies over her head and focusses on the roses in her hands. She takes a while to say anything else, just looking at the roses and trying to string together the words.
"What... color.. you thinking...?"
With the rate of how shes asking these questions it might take them days to plan out everything. They still dont even have a place to do this.
"Well.. I suppose anything would pair with white.. Why not pink? It reminds me of you," she hummed softly, wrapping one tendril under her chin..
"Why don't we start with bigger questions, darling?"
A gentle flush of that aforementioned pink color sprouted nicely on those cheeks of her's, murmering and averting her gaze for a moment. She was a little bit nervous, but she agreed. Its probably better to ask about venues.
"So.. So I'm not certain if I should.. Have it at my office or not. Theres a lot more characters there, and I wouldn't want to disturb their daily life, y'know..? I uhm.. Im not sure where to have it otherwise.."
"Surely they can't be using all of it.. But I suppose my office would work just as well if you could.. supply the code.."
Her tendril curled up a little, rubbing over her flushed cheeks.. Story really had missed them while she had been working..
"Well no, of course not, I just... I don't know, they've been stressed out and I sort of wanted to gove them space. Maybe I could make another chunk of the map for it..?"
She leaned against the tendril with that loving gaze of her's, staring into the shadowy, inky figure with utmost admiration. God, it was nice just looking at her. And even moreso thinking about the fact that Story was her's- And she was going to be one with her with the ceremony they would go through.
"You're so prettyyyy... Mhh..."
Don't let her get distracted now!
Story had already been set on course, looking over her shoulder at the strewn about decorations as she hummed.. The narrator was practically just a stress ball at this point as she spoke.
"Why not use one of the maps you already have dear, surely there's one of them that isn't being used as a living space..?"
She allowed her lover to press and knead against her cheeks, a soft giggle escaping her with lidded eyes.
"I could uhmm.... I could have it in the erm... camera... thingy. Yknow... with the screens and the WaaaAa mind control! Id just... delete the objects in there for the wedding and keep the lights, Heheee..."
"That sounds lovely dear.. with the location, we can choose decorations and details more easily. "
She hummed softly, browsing the half made examples in search of a new question..
"Let us see now.. What should we decide next lovely? "
She bites her bottom lip, pulling absentmindedly at some papers and looking upon them with quiet distance. She... hadn't really thought any further than that. She murmers rather quietly as she tried to think up the most bare bones wedding responses that she had NAILED when she had been setting up Raphael and Rex's celebration.
"....Do you think we should get a pinata, or is that only for birthday parties..."
Story thought on it for a moment.. That was certainly not a wedding item.. but.. it seemed like something that would entertain her lover.. She could make compromises, as long as it made the other happier.
"Well I suppose that depends on you, my dear.. Do you want a pinata? "
