Dear Youtubers
Let me start by saying that I am truly sorry for my mean thoughts that I have mentally beamed through my laptop screen.
I used to get so upset when it took you guys forever to post a video, but now that I am starting my own channel... I must say that it is difficult to say the least. I originally put a deadline for my video to be posted and I ended up going days past it. And the editing I had a hard time dealing with. If you have the right software its a breeze however, it is a free version of it you might end up like me. With a huge watermark! Ugh! I do not know how you guys flawlessly do voice overs. OMG! I had my kids walking in on me as well as my boyfriend. I had to start over so many times.
Now when I get those notifications, I burst with excitement because I know you guys are dishing out grade a quality in your videos and I can’t wait until the day my frustration fades so that I can do the same.
P.S. My video still ended up sucking but Rome was not built in a day.
Very first LP omg it took forever but it is finally up! Please go check it and leave a comment I would love the feedback !
No Cats No Dogs No News!
As you might have known The Sims Community have been crossing their fingers and wishing upon stars that The Sims 4 Pets pre-order would be a dream come true. Where as in the beginning there was a lack of a certain life stage (Toddlers) and modders went in to the The Sims 4 code and found the animation and avatars for that very life stage. Because what is The Sims without those chubby cheek monsters (Ahem! Angels) that you have to raise into a functional young adult sim? Nothing that’s what! So when little clues such as paw print tees and toys perfect for a veterinarian was found in game play the modders went on the hunt again. Many found various animations where cats can climb on top refrigerators, etc. But the question remains, is this fabulous Photoshop or just another leak??
Well SimGuruGraham has come out with his opinion on the matter...
However, even with this damning tweet there still isn’t anything definitive. I guess we would have to wait until the Eco Living Stuff Pack voting is complete to know exactly what the next expansion pack would be...
“LEAKED: The Sims 4 Eco Living Stuff LAUNDRY GAMEPLAY!!!!!! #TheSims4 https://t.co/PPXpjTm1mg”
Possible Gameplay Leak?!?!?
Backlash in The Sims Community
As you may have known, we have been relentlessly voting for the upcoming Eco Living Stuff Pack. There was a small uproar when Eco Living was chosen as the overall theme, but the Simmies push through it in the hopes of gaining new gameplay features. So month after month Simmies and Simmsters alike got together to voice there opinions on the surveys. There was a demand to have the laundry feature put back in the game but did you think that it would win it's own stuff pack?? Well you are right it did!
I personally wanted Off the Grid as I stated in a previous post but some how majority rules??? I don't know or understand why someone would fight so hard for a feature we already had. To be honest I do because I really want seasons to come back and I would do a sit in if I had to at EA's office just so it could come to fruition. I'm curious to see how this pack would differ from its grandfather pack The Sims 3 Town Life.
Amino Virgin!!
Last night I created my Amino account and I could say it is the most interesting, addictive, and fun app I have on my phone. You would think that with a Instagram styled app, that lets the Sims community share stories as well pictures, that there would be some form of competition. On the contrary, everyone is friendly. The reason I brought up the competitive aspect is because there is a system of points called Reps..
As you can see I am just a Townie, but there is hopes that I can one day reach SimGuru status. You can earn reps by checking in, creating post, or by simply just spending time on the app! There is also the titles in which you can rise from Brand New to Ultimate brandishing at least half a million Reps, whoa! You can also create polls of your hearts content and even participate in the various Sim related challenges. Don't get me started on the quizzes in which I have failed quite a few. Fans can create these to test each others knowledge of The Sims History; whether it be through trivia or pointing out fake game packs. All in all, I believe this is the perfect app to connect the Sims community and I can't wait to get back on ... I'll see you guys there.
Disappointing Choices
When EA came to us asking us to be apart of the making process of a Stuff Pack, I was thrilled. I had missed the first voting round and had to settle with Eco Living, ever since that I have been determined to keep up with the voting schedule to make sure I had a say in the matter. Week after week I stalked SimGuruGrahams' Corner reading post after post. In April, we got to chose the art style of the stuff pack. Which was only two choices, either boho or modern. Lack of choice made the verdict a landslide. The boho theme had won! Mainly due to the opportunity of having those sweet concept clothes.
So I vote diligently, I voted on my phone, my laptop, and even on my work computer. Ah yes! Democracy at work. I was determined. Then I had to wait a whole month just to vote again and this time it was on the different clothing and objects. There was a lot of object that looked like it was made from a wicker basket but it fit what they were going for, I think? Overall, the good news is that the voters got that outfit that shaped the whole course of this stuff pack. Yes, the infamous full body outfit.
But now to the matter of hand, we have until June 26th to vote on the game play features. Here's the run down *Off the Grid: An optional game play system for Sims who want to disconnect from the utilities grid, and instead choose to live off the land. Some game play feature ideas include: Off the Grid Lot Trait, Well pump/ Water well, Solar Panels, and Wind Turbine *Carbon Conscious: A collection of features that allows Sims to reduce their carbon emissions in a variety of ways. Some game play features include: Freegan Trait, Composter, and Recycling *Food Preserves: A collection of features that add new things to do with your harvestable fruits and vegetables, allowing your sims to produce and store food for personal use or profit. Some game play features include: Canning & Preserving, Nectar making, Superfood harvestable plant and lastly... *Laundry: An optional game play system thats only used by the active household when laundry objects are placed on the Sims home lot. Moodlets and modifiers to the decay rate of certain needs serve as some of the benefits and push back of the system. Some game play features include: Washing machine, dryer, hamper, clothes line, and wash tub. I chose Off the Grid because I was intrigued by the game play. The only interesting thing about the laundry feature was the clothesline and frankly I doubt I would use it. Don't get me wrong I am still excited about the process it's just that we were taken for a bit of a ride. Don't ya think? Remember this?
