Did you have your 'glow up' yet?
Saw on fb that there's a trend/hashtag of "the glow up challenge"
Funny, because my friend and I were just talking about it; how a lot of people we know or just around our age already received their glow up and how come we haven't had ours yet. Tbh I have thought about it, yes, and thought about reason(s) not to make a big deal out of it or be jealous—to make it easier.
Most of the girls tend to rush things - how they wanted to feel or look beautiful even in such a young age.
They chose to have their glow up - letting people influence them how they should dress up and look pretty, when they should've been confident all along no matter what outfits they threw on or how little make up they put on.
The lack of self-love - because of rushing, and letting others influence them—choosing to grow up fast—they end up getting hurt and broken in the end. They do these things for other people and not for themselves.
So for other girls out there who didn't get there glow up yet? You don't have to worry because YOU KNOW that you still have to establish yourself. You know what you need and you know what to work on with yourself.
You don't have to force a glow up, it will come to you eventually. Just try and make yourself whole first. There are so many things to discover in yourself; explore! Find out if you have real friends or not, figure out what you want to do in the future, idc whatever it is as long as it benefits you and you do it for yourself. It's time to give yourself the attention and love it deserves, gurl!
So no need to be jealous. Be proud instead, atleast you're looking out for yourself. To the girls who've had their glow ups, good for you, and don't worry, I'm not coming for you. I'm sure you have your own reasons and some actually had a great glow up, so yeah, keep it up—and move with your own pace, girls. No need to rush.
