May 28, 2016 Jack Daniel’s Indie Fest Globe Circuit, Makati

This is probably my biggest gig to date. I can’t fathom how lucky I am to be able to make music and share ~feelings~ with a lot of people.

I launched my EP two years ago and there weren’t a lot of people there. I got to fill it with my closest friends and somehow I did expect just that. I didn’t have a mark in the local scene back then. Before the launch, I wasn’t gigging and playing around the usual bars because I wanted to experiment on this marketing "strategy” (haha). Safe to say, I think it kinda worked. lol

I cannot thank you enough to everyone who listens. I’m forever grateful to have you guys whose hearts are open to discovery and navigating life together.

I spent the weekend with friends and it was the best. We cried together during Bon Iver's set at Wanderland; and headed straight, sleepless, to Puerto Galera for Malasimbo.

Thank you Reese Lansangan for letting us be a part of your colorful life and epic music journey. Ang epic ng set natin sa bundok and I guess it's a mixture of your amazing songs and our tight friendship (nuks). Wala na, 'di ka na magsosolo set ulit niyan haha. Labyu all

November 6, 2015 Went up Mt. Batulao with Clarence, Pat, Mimi, and Nelson! (right after gigging and drinking the previous night haha) I’ll post photos of the hike soon! 

November 7, 2015 Super impromptu played drums for Autotelic at Mad Fest 2015 I played Gising! Jimbo of Sud played Dahilan! W E H E Y nalaglag kaluluwa ko sa kaba

November 13 - 14, 2015 I played at Kalayaan College for the first time! It was nice cause it was actually a barbecue type of thing; and everyone was just having a really nice time eating burgers and stuff. (Photos from Migg Dela Cruz)

After that I went to Route 196 to support my friends at the JD event! At midnight they surprised me with a cake :’) HBD! Thank you Li and all my friends for the surprise! I love you guys to Pluto and beyond <3

November 19, 2015 I wasn’t supposed to do anything that day but Liz messaged previous Elements campers; inviting us to join them for the last night. So I decided to go and surprise Josh and Mic Mi; plus a lot of people I haven’t seen in years. <3

Gary Granada was my mentor back in 2011. November 20, 2015 - La Balls Night I PLAYED SYNTHS FOR MOONWLK!!! It was extreeeeemely fun and fulfilling. Playing alongside your friends will always be an honor for me.

November 10, 2015 Gear TLC day! River (my Ibanez AC240) got some TLC yesterday! New 12 gauge D'addario EXP strings, filed nut, adjusted truss rod, and of course got it cleaned! I got to meet a handsome young Beagle there as well. :)

Best Weekend Ever

October 15-17, 2015 was probably one of the most tiring but fulfilling days of music I have ever experienced.

October 15 - Cable Car Makati I was supposed to play alone that night because Mark was scheduled for an Ilo-ilo trip. It got cancelled; so last minute, he got to gig with me! I played a suuuuper long set (2 set of 45 minutes each, 14 songs whaaat?!). Thankfully, I got to pull through with Mark. Super nice surprise: Dee, Basi, and Mimi were there randomly drinking after work. :)

Best thing I overheard that night: “uy ayan na original na”  <3

October 16 - Eastwood City Beer Fest & Jack Daniel’s Future Legends Eastwood City Beer Fest was right smack in the middle of the old City Walk. It was our first time playing there *ticks off bucket list*; and it was nice that Martin’s friends from work got to watch him play. Sad though that we weren’t given beer! huhu

Jack Daniel’s Future Legends - Saguijo We usually play early sets but it was almost 1 am when we got on stage. Not a lot of people stayed but it didn’t really matter to us. I believe we brought it that night and we got to put on a killer set. (maybe because we were all buzzed from the JD we were drinking LOLJK)

October 17 - Groovy Garden Studio (Pulp video shoot) Groovy Garden: hole in the wall studio. It had really nice sound proofing, lighting, and equipment! Everyone was really kind and accommodating to us. We did live recording of 3 songs and I did a little interview as well. I think this one comes out March! Wait for it!

aaand according to Mel, my best pianist ever: “That Once feeling <3″ SO TRUE.
