Have either of you ever seen a picture of Terra from long ago when she was lush and thriving and covered in oceans?

Vitellius: Terra had oceans?

Avulocris: According to historical documents it also had a variety of fauna, such as a variety of birds- Vitellius: Yes, but I raise you this, oceans.

I am an Electropriest and serve- ...Served the Mechanicus.

It's a very special position. Even now there are very, VERY, fine filaments of cybernetics in my skin. The glory of it.. it's beautiful. Imagine hundreds of you chanting and singing for the Omnissiah as graceful arcs of electricity charge the air and-

It's beautiful until they leave you behind without a single care..But- Anyways. Many days are spent in rituals that help maintain the cybernetics. Along with training, learning more chants, and building comradery sometimes.. Kind of similar to Avu's stories.

-Avulocris crosses his arms and looks away, seeming to hunker under his cloak-

I was a member of the Adeptus Astartes. And though I have abandoned my brothers I will not share my secrets.

Discussion on the Emperor

You think the Emperor liked smooth things?

Vitellius. What even possesses you to come up with half the things you say and do?

Enthusiasm for life, that's what! Anyways, I say this because a lot of things I've felt are.. very smooth? And our run in with that little group- The warband has me thinking, because everything in the Imperium is pretty smooth? And they weren't?

I think you're seriously overthinking this. Are Xenos loyalists because their armor is smooth?

Well, no. But still? You get what I mean?

This is a redundant question. Of course I have, I don’t believe in worshiping a corpse, nor do I want to worship four beguiling, selfish creatures that have no interest for humanity.  My brother’s did not appreciate my views. Nor do any others that wish to have my power as their own weapon.

[ Vitellius may not look it, but he has the most uncanny knack of knitting. And I mean, he knits like a pro. Other than knitting, Vitellius is artistically constipated. ]

[ As for Avulocris, he’s very skilled in mimicking noises, though he uses this skill to mimic birdsongs when no one’s around ]

Yes, I believe that’s the question asked.

...I still find pride in the moment my eyes burst from the raw power I held. The memory doesn’t hold the same meaning it once did.. but.. Feeling the electricity coursing through me? -You can see the shorter Electropriest open and close his hands in front of his face, a sideways grin on his face- It was so magical! Screaming from the top of my lungs in ecstasy despite the pain! Avu, what’s yours?

[ Vitellius finds his proudest fight to be the first one he was in and really used all of his power with countless others. The most significant would be the one that lead up to him meeting Avulocris ]

Avulocris, -the man sighed before shrugging- There’s been too many to count and too many with no meaning.

[ Avulocris’s most significant battle was between his closest brothers when he decided to go Renegade. He harbors guilt for having to kill them to stay alive ]

His guilty pleasure? Sculpting. I mean, he's not too good for it, the only art he's good at is, surprisingly, poetry, but he privately adores the art of crafting things from clay

-Despite the helmet, you get the feeling he has an uneasy look on his face-

How easy it would be for me to step away from all that I’ve done so far and fall to Chaos. No matter where you go, you can’t just.. shoot it and it goes away. It’s always there, just as the Warp is. It’s terrifying just to even think of how the immaterium is a necessary evil. Then again, I thought some of the things I did was necessary evil.

Truthfully, it’s unnerving how easy it is for anyone to fall.

-Avulocris’s heaviest secret is how much he regrets that he didn’t ‘escape’ from the Imperium sooner and how he couldn’t take any of his battle-brothers with him. Seconding that, he also harbors guilt from those he once viewed as allies for his newfound freedom.- 

MY heaviest secret?! Now why would you- Fine.

I didn’t want to be like this. No, I much enjoy.. enjoyed my old post as a Electropriest, even if I know that the Omnissiah isn’t looking out for it. No I.. didn’t want this ‘freedom’ as Avu calls it. I didn’t ask for some.. something to hold my head in a fire! I didn’t ask to get tossed into some out of control electricity and get my holy garb seared partially to my skin! Or my leg! My leg blasted off!

I just wanted to serve the holy Omnissiah the most I knew how. I’m lost without my brothers who abandoned me when I needed them and.. and I know I should move on like my friend says to, but it’s hard to let go years of memories I’m beginning to doubt. I don’t know if I like all this ‘free will’. I can make choices for myself but all this.. I don’t know, I just don’t want to be a heretek, you know?
