-A monthish later, Annabeth goes to visit Percy for the day. Percy mentioned it in passing to his mom, assuming she would like, tell Paul or maybe make more food in preparation for Annabeth's arrival
-What neither Annabeth or Percy anticipated was Sally texting her new friend Literal Bruce Wayne to tell him, hey, your kid is coming over to my apartment at Date and Time so get your emotionally constipated butt over here and talk to her
-Annabeth and Percy walk in to find Sally, Paul, and Bruce sitting in the living room.
-Imagine if you will, Annabeth walks in, sees Bruce, makes a noise that can be described as "panicked" or possibly "deflating balloon-esque", and backpedals out the door before Percy even makes it inside
-They have a Brief Whispered Conversation where Percy says he didn't know this was a setup but he thinks Annabeth should talk to her dad and Annabeth panics because she already had a twenty-step plan laid out to approach Bruce at some point next year and she was NOT ready for this, oh gods this is going to go so badly.
-Annabeth walks in and Sally drags Paul and Percy out of the building for a bit to give them some space.
-Emotional things happen. It's emotional. There's some yelling involved. At one point Annabeth excuses herself to panic some more in Percy's room, and she calls Frederick, who isn't technically her dad but is nonetheless the most emotionally stable male adult in her life besides a talking horse. Frederick is a bit unprepared to deal with this but talks her through some of it, and Annabeth goes back out to have more emotions with Bruce.
-Some two hours later Sally, Paul, and Percy come back to see Annabeth and Bruce having a Normal and Not Overwhelmingly Emotional conversation about what they've both been doing for the past, oh, decade or so
-Sally internally breathes a sigh of relief because honestly she didn't know if this was going to turn out well. Percy externally asks Annabeth if she's doing alright now and her genuine answer is that she is, she's glad to finally have reconnected with Bruce
-Over the next month or two, Annabeth and Bruce meet over and over. Sometimes to do something in the city like look at architecture or eat, sometimes just to talk. It's always Bruce coming to New York, and only ever Bruce. Annabeth isn't comfortable going to Gotham and meeting her siblings yet.
-Which sucks for her because :) suddenly Percy has disappeared and she is losing her MIND. Annabeth spends the first week tracking down as many leads as possible and also dealing with these three new campers throwing CHB into an uproar. Apparently something about a camp of Roman demigods? She takes three seconds to bond with Piper about being the daughter of a famous rich guy who didn't want her dad's fame, just his love, before turning right back around and going out to look for Percy even more
-It takes another week before she appears at the steps of Wayne Manor, demanding to talk to Bruce. Given that 2/3rds of the inhabitants don't recognize or know her at all, this is a cause for concern. The sudden waterworks that break out when Dick sees her and they start hugging is even MORE of a cause for concern.
-Annabeth allows herself to be dragged into an Emergency Family meeting but she is genuinely too wired about finding Percy to have half of the emotions she should be having about meeting all of these people at once. Just to run it down, we have:
-Bruce (has reunited with her, didn't tell anyone else he'd found Annabeth or even that she was definitively alive, is suddenly getting Yelled At by Dick)
-Dick (having a lot of emotions about his baby sister who is suddenly a battle-scarred teenager who seems to be happy to see him but mostly just wants to get this conversation back on track about finding her missing boyfriend)
-Jason (having even more emotions and is handling them badly by being uncharacteristically quiet before starting a characteristically explosive argument with Bruce)
-Tim (only vaguely knows about Bruce's daughter Anne Elizabeth, vaguely knew Bruce was looking for her, is the most suspicious about her sudden appearance and the stuff she's telling them about gods and monsters)
-Cass (not fully following what's happening, having never been told about Anne Elizabeth, but most tuned into Tim and Jason's respective crises)
-Damian (has been in the manor for like, a month, has not gotten over the majority of his assassin instincts, perceives Annabeth as the biological threat to mirror Tim's title threat, fucking goes at her with a knife and is wildly unprepared for her to parry and then pin him within four moves)
-So that's a wildly chaotic introduction slash first meeting, everyone is having a time of it, Annabeth is seriously not at all focused on heartwarming family reunions, she really just needs Bruce's help + resources to track down Percy. She thinks Damian is kinda funny and says she can help him with his knifework if she ever has free time, she tells Bruce to tell her as soon as he finds a hint of Percy, and whirlwinds right back out of the Manor before anyone can react again
