Back in November I started an Instagram for aquarium stuff. If you'd like to follow you can find it at @wabi.sabi.aquatics
The recent 10 gallon build is doing great. Got some Golden Whiteclouds in there a few days ago. Still some work to do but it's looking nice.
Thanks for alk the event follows, reblogs and likes!
Some beautiful, relaxing tanks~
20long update. Not much to update, removed the Wisteria. Been battling some hair algae but it's under control and the moss has started covering the rocks naturally. There's only the five Neon Dwarf Rainbows and one Assassin Snail
This hobby has already given me a lot but one thing it continously gives me are lessons in patience. I built this on a bit of a whim, I tore down one of my wives ten gallon tanks and decided to utilize it since the substrate was still there with some water. After mostly completing the scape I then decided to remove the top rim, backwards, I know. I ended up cracking one pane but it didn't bother me, there was another tank to use and I was confident I could rebuild the scape. In the end I pulled it off and made it a little better. I'll have more pictures and details once I get some fish in there.
Took a day off yesterday for some self-care. Explored the woods near my house for some sticks and moss and glued them together. Should be running in a day or two.
New 20tall community. I've wanted Celestial Pearl Danios since I got into fish but haven't had a good set-up for them and decided this tank is perfect. So all together now...
3 Corydoras, 3 salt&pepper corys, 4 pygmy corys, 5 black neon tetras, 4 sparkling gouramis, 4 celestial pearl danios.
It's a fun aquarium that looks empty til you really watch it.
Yesterday I asked my wife if we could go to the fish store tonight. I thought about it all day and realized it was the same feeling as when I was a teen and got to go to a skate shop and that reconfirmed my love for aquariums. We hit up one of my favorite shops in Minnesota, Quality Aquatics.
I discovered Sparkling Gouramis and a few days later found myself a pair. I plan on getting 2 more. I've been moving fish around and getting a whole new set into the 20 tall. More to come soon. Thanks!
I've come to love these fish. I moved them to the 20 long and plan on getting more for a dedicated tank.
I had to put Ralphie down tonight. Over the last few months he has spent more and more time sitting on the floor, it was starting to give him abrasions and the Platy was biting at him. We had a good year and I will miss watching him.
These little guys are surprisingly active.
