Derek’s mandated pack bonding nights are the reason Isaac is seriously considering taking his chances as an omega. He could run away and not have to participate in this joke-of-a-family-night ever again. It would be fantastic. Though he must admit, a small part him enjoys knowing he’s part of a loving home, even if they are annoying as hell sometimes. The loft’s acoustics have a way of spreading the laughter and music around in a way that makes it sound like there are more people in it than there really is, it messes with his hearing but nothing for him to get anxious over but if they had neighbors then they definitely would have a few noise complaints on their hands.
There’s snacks and drinks all over the place, discarded cups on every flat surface and a group of teenagers looking for companionship through trials. Stiles, passing out alcohol like it’s going to effect anyone in here besides himself and Allison and Lydia; Then of course, Allison and Lydia, laughing like their actually having some fun for the first time in ages. Derek’s usual scowl is replaced with a fond, protective gaze. Though, Isaac could argue that if anyone should be looking that way it’s someone else, maybe the sheriff. Derek has a habit of being the one who puts the kids in danger, Scott does it too.
Isaac makes a face to himself, watching the group from a little comfy spot near the window. Scott…with his crooked jaw and his smell that smells like…him. He has a way of ruining Isaac’s day and making the sunshine a little bit brighter. Maybe it’s the alpha thing. The more he learns, about werewolves and packs, the more he comes across the idea that alpha’s are like everything to them. It’s weird to think about. Scott brings monsters to Beacon Hills like..well, a beacon and for some reason they always feel the need to try to kill everyone. How does he even still have a pack at this point. Still, he has a way of making Isaac feel safe even when he’s not.
Stiles yelling at him brings him back out of his head and he rubs a hand over his face just to get rid of the weird feeling of him making faces to himself. He takes a seat on the floor beside Erica, stretches his legs out into a circle and crosses his ankles. They’re playing truth-or-dare, first is Erica.
“Truth or dare?” Stiles starts, pointing in Erica’s direction and spilling a bit of his drink of the floor. Derek isn’t going to like that.
“Dare.” Isaac thinks Erica is going to regret this decision.
“ Touch your nose with your tongue. If you are unable to do this you must touch Lydia’s nose with your tongue.”
The dare makes Isaac laugh but Erica barely bats and eyelid and squares up. Lydia is the one making noises of distress, which only makes Isaac laugh a little harder. She stretches her tongue out, tilts her head back, tries as hard as she can to touch her tongue to her nose but na-da. With a defeated huff, Erica stands up and flicks the tip of her tongue to Lydia’s nose. It’s super gross to see but still, everyone laughs.
