Point of No Return || Eve and Rex [Mini Event 10]
It was too enticing to resist, much like the lower levels of the boat. Dark tunnels that leads who knows where and is holding who knows what. How could she resist? Originally content with the woods she stumbled on the mines on accident. Eve had heard stories about mines, ranging from dwarves to actual cave ins but this was the first time she’d ever seen one. She assumed it was just a cave until she noticed the way the ceiling was set up and the tracks running through it.
Her feet were a bit unsteady as she walked through. It could have been the unfamiliar territory but it was more likely to be the effects of the bottle in her hand. The current label read Gin but Eve had no idea how many labels she’d gone through. A giggle passed by her lips as she tripped and caught herself on the wall. Her tolerance apparently was lethal to a humans but nothing compared to some beasts she’d heard about.
She wasn’t gone enough to forget about her surroundings which is how she heard something or someone else in the tunnels. Tipping the bottle back, and holding a hand out to brace herself she finished it off and smashed it on the wall. Not the smartest thing if there was something prowling but she was feeling froggy. In Purgatory there was something around every bend and turn, This pocket gave some exciting twists but not enough that drinking seemed more fun. Maybe she could stir up a little trouble on her next visit to the bar. It’d be more interesting then this mine so far, all it had was weird noises so far.
Maybe it was her enhanced hearing or maybe it was around the corner but the sound of growls or rattling suddenly echoed through stopping her in her tracks. She probably should have turned around, sobered up and came back later. Maybe even grabbed someone to come with her. But there was no way she resisting this chance. She wasn't really able to run but quickly none the less turned a corner running right into some. Normally she'd bounce back but the sudden brakes had her falling on her butt. "That was unexpected," she sighed before looking up at who she ran into before raising a brow, "Why are you down here?"
