Umbrage Archives Service Announcement: A fresh start

I want to stay “in character” for this blog as much as possible so I’ll  I’ll try to keep these announcements to a minimum.  I reccommend you keep reading.

Originally, this was a secondary blog for my main tumblr art account but I’ve since transferred the Umbrage Archives to another email.  This email was supposed to be for my writing stuff but it never took off, so I’ve decided to use it for something else.

I want this blog to function as an archive for my multiple storylines, which take place within a single universe. (It is also important to note that the Umbrage Archives is both a blog but also a tangible character in my original universe.)  I’m less interested in fanfiction stories and I want to focus on my own stuff.  I’ll still post fanfiction stuff on this blog from time to time but my original works will take priority now.

I won’t give too many details about the different storylines I’ve been developing, partly because I still am not sure how everything is going to work out, especially given my hopeless art making work ethic.  But I’m aiming to have several different formats for them on this blog which are:

Single detailed image with 500-600 short story after the “keep reading tab”

5-10 panels (600 x 600px) self contained comics with minimal dialogue

10 panel detailed comics as part of an ongoing story arc

I want to at least publish a decent story in one of these formats for this blog once a month.  Hopefully, I can achieve a consistent publishing schedule that will garner more interest, followers and justify my Patreon just a bit more.

I aim to have the first story for this blog published in August 2018.  Fingers crossed.
