“It costs nothing to smile bitch”
Old meme. 👀
There is no unskilled labor, only undervalued skills.
This is so school. 👀
Florida vs. Irma
How Hurricane Irma looks to the rest of the country:
How Hurricane Irma looks to Floridians:
How the rest of the country thinks we should prepare:
How Floridians actually prepare:
What the rest of the country is demanding:
How Floridians feel about the evacuation:
What everyone else thinks will happen to those who stay:
What Floridians actually do during a hurricane:
THIS IS TOO ACCURATE.

All dogs are good dogs.
I literally just watched a girl pull a huge lizard out of her jacket as she walked into a store. What is this?

Is it common for maladaptive daydreamers to love their daydreaming? Who, if they could control it, would probably daydream even more? Because that's me although my daydreaming is definitely maladaptive (impacts school, relationships and other stuff) and i fit the proposed diagnostic criteria
Yes, it is overwhelmingly common for MDers to love their daydreams. ~80% say the daydreams bring them comfort and joy, 53% say that life is more interesting because of their daydreaming. They say this even while reporting on the distress and dysfunction the MD brings to their lives. The typical Maladaptive Daydreamer tends to hate the maladaptation, not the daydream.
It's a love-hate relationship.
don’t say anything, just reblog.

the way that tumblr treats mental health is really bad. there’s a weird culture on this site where nothing but misinformation is spread and text posts like ‘that bpd feel when you listen to the same song over and over’ get thousands of notes without a single person questioning it
this site honestly makes mental health issues into something ‘cool’ and also encourages never recovering. phrases such as ‘we cant all be neurotypical karen’ become more popular than ‘even if there is no cure, there is always treatment’, and when actually mentally ill people share coping mechanisms, they’re accused of being neurotypical. instead of helping each other and supporting each other, it feels like this site just wants to keep people miserable forever and discourage any attempts to recover.
its extremely damaging. i hope it changes. as a mentally ill person, taking a step back from the popular rhetoric that goes around on this site did me a great deal of good. i recommend it.
