i plan to love my life and to live it the way i feel is best for me. i know it takes time and patience. i know there will be mistakes and relapses. but i’m so tired of being angry at the world and letting other people’s theoretical opinions dictate my life.

To myself, raised in an environment that glorified and romanticized restriction and suffering:

There is no victory in skipping dinner, or lunch, or breakfast, or morning coffee, or dessert.

There is no victory in refusing heaters and air conditioners and fans and heated blankets.

There is no victory in denying yourself sleep, or showers, or movement, or water, or a comfortable bed, or taking the elevator vs. the stairs.

There is no victory in refusing pain meds and heating pads and ice packs and medical help.

There is no victory in punishing yourself needlessly, in telling yourself that this pain you feel is because you are bad to the core and deserve it.

There is no victory in choking back your laughter and your tears, to keep an imagined equilibrium of safety that is really just a dry, cracked, empty, endless emotional desert.

You are here. You are in this body, and this body is yours. You deserve good things. You are alive, and that is messy and loud, and messy and loud are okay.

It’s okay to live abundantly. It’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to indulge. This paralysis of self-punishment, self-restriction, self-loathing is not healthy or good for you.

The education system of India is bullshit. All students are judged on the basis of marks, unless we get atleast above 90% on our boards we can’t get into good colleges, mental health is disregarded both at school and home, we’re expected to learn pages and pages of bullshit that will not have any impact later on in life.

Only if a student is good at ‘important’ subjects like math or science, the he/she/they is considered a good student. Music, Arts, Languages are seen as secondary and students who are good them are seen as ‘average students’. All because we’re not good maths or science, that will supposedly take us ‘somewhere’ in life.

Every month or so there comes a day when your heart is restless for no reason, when your mind just jumps on thoughts you'd rather forget.

An overwhelming sadness, a ribbon of loneliness, a black hole like soul succumbing to the darkness runs through the fibres of my being.

I fucked up my exam. I'm not getting a college pretty far from it actually. I don't know what to do with my life anymore. On top of it I remembered that I turn 19 in 15 days and I'm getting a panic attack since I'm still not in a college or doing anything in my life. All of this just has been wasted time,wasted wasted time.

When I was 14 and depressed I was scared of the future and dreaded thinking about it so I told myself "don't worry you'd be dead by 19" so that's what I did I did everything in autopilot, never serious about anything. No path, no passion, no dreams.

Now I'm gonna turn and I'm not dead yet so I have to take the decisions of my future and I'm paralyzed, I'm paralyzed by fear by the sadness of thinking how did I a person who had myriad of dreams is suddenly so lost and utterly depressed in life. It's really fucking funny and pathetic.

I hate and sometimes get really sad when I find a good post made by a blog and then go to check them out and see that it was their last post ever. Like I won't know what happened next. Are they alive? Are they okay I'll never know. So many ppl had tumblrs and now their accounts are just a ghost of what they used to like/love/see.
