2. You got damn right I ripped into him. His comment was disrespectful. He disrespected black women and as a black man how could I be anything but offended by his statement.

I don’t want here in unity talk from you if the only thing you had a problem with is me coming at him. He disrespected black women in whole. My mother was black, her mother was black if I had a daughter she would be black. So I will not tolerate that type of disrespect.

I’m all for unity and looking out for my people. I saw someone disrespecting my women and said something. Even if homie was black the moment he makes a comment like that he is part of the problem.

That whole statement he made is the reason the original post was made. The way black women are treated and disrespected is sickening and I’m fucking tired of it.

Exactly.   That what pisses me off right there.   People will have more sympathy for the attacker than victim.   That is why I couldn’t take his statement serious.   He ignored every disrespectful word he said about black women but only respond because he saw a man getting the appropriate response. 

The sad thing is this just proves what the original poster was saying.   Black women struggles are too often ignored and the sad thing it often comes from men who share the same skin color.   That is something we (I am included)  can not allow

Well said my brother…Our women get a bad rap from society already so why degrade them. You can’t channel your bad experiences on all black women. That’s like saying all black people do is steal and we know that’s not true. I have to echo what my brother said, “my mother is black, my sisters are black and my daughter is black.” So when you generalize black women, you’re talking about mines and I assume yours. We need to show both of our black men and women some love and respect because if we don’t who well. We see enough of disrepect of our women on the internet, movies, tv and videos. Therefore, we need to change that and yes, I’m offended when someone disrespect our women especially when it’s a brother, because you should be the last person to say something negative!
