AND THE RAIN CAME.

SUMMER IN A COMBAT COAT.

It used to be called Jungle Fatigue Jacket, but now The Real McCoy’s has named it Combat Tropical Coat. A good garment anyhow. The Tiger striped hat and Bear Head Boots are from the same brand. Jean by my favourite denim brand, Omoto Denim. My Levis Vintage tee is like ten years old. Messenger bag from Bleu de Chauffe.

CORDUROY CAT.

Perhaps a bit warm, but quite some time since I wore this corduroy jacket by Drake’s. Bought it at Goods in Copenhagen. The Momotaro shirt is from a trip to Gothenburg, and the store Göteborg Manufaktur. Wide Baker Pans by wonderful MSP. And Alden shoes from Gabucci in Stockholm. Hat by The HW Dog. From when I was in Tokyo many years ago.

A GOOD THING.

The store @meadowweb is one of Europe’s most well-stocked stores when it comes to Japanese brands. It’s a good thing. Means that I can try on the clothes before eventually buying. The camo jacket by The Real McCoy’s is reversible, so next time I have the other side out. I chose a big size (44) to give space for a jean jacket under. Also in love with the denim shirt by MSP. Kind of art work.

I’m in love with this jean jacket by Japanese Omoto. Slubby denim, big inner pockets and comfy fit. You find the Omoto brand at the Meadow store. Also fancy the linen cap from Irish Hanna Hats. A LOVE STORY THAT LASTS.

When I many years ago started my heritage journey, @therealmccoysjp (RMC) was one of the first brands I discovered. It was love at first sight. I then used to visit London mainly for the RMC store. So different today. Now my friends at @meadowweb can proudly announce they got RMC on their brand list. The only shop in the Nordic countries that is. The outfit I’m wearing is all RMC, except for the cap (@foundfeatherism) and bag (@porteryoshidacoofficial).

Via Meadow I found some other great Japanese brands: @orslow, @omotodenim, @marusankakupeke Japan rules when it comes to contemporary style with roots.
