Just as feminism's goal is to in no way help men (although it may as a byproduct), veganism's goal is in no way to help people. 

We already have human rights and humanism for humans. Stop trying to shift the focus of veganism from solely animals because it's the only thing they have that is 100% for them.

but then they call people who eat meat murderers and… yeah you don’t deserve respect anymore.

the thing is though it’s not about being healthy, it’s about knowing that we have the ability to live without paying for the pain, suffering and slaughtering of animals so we do that

I think that if you are going to indulge in animal products you should at least be aware of the harm you are doing to animals and not lash out on those who are disturbed by your choices. I am not a vegan myself but I acknowledge this whenever I choose to eat an animal product.

If you ever hear people talking about doing sexual things with animals and them saying "but the animal likes it", remember that the consent dynamics between humans and non-human animals give us the responsibility to not take advantage of them. We accept not taking advantage of drunk "consenting" people, and we should do the same with animals.
