I am 40 years old (nearly 41) I don’t have a perfect body anymore and it takes commitment to stay in shape but when I look in the mirror I’m pretty pleased with what I see.... 5 years ago i decided to go vegan and I’ve been in the best shape of my life ever since and I have so much more energy. Our beautiful summer is beginning to cool and preparation for the kids to return to school has begun for some. Our long, dreamy holidays are a far a distant memory and as the evenings begin to draw in, it can be good time to review your current lifestyle plan. Beat daily blues by incorporating regular exercise into your weekly routine and give your body time to recover from the daily stresses of modern living. Exercise can be a great way to lift your mood and improve your emotions

When you exercise, your brain releases endorphins, adrenaline, serotonin and dopamine. These chemicals all work together to make you happy and exhilarated. In addition, after exercising you may feel a sense of accomplishment and your muscles will relax deeper because of the workout – easing tension and strain.

Exercise is more than just pounding weights or strenuous keep-fit classes at the gym. Regular physical activity

·         Improves self esteem and confidence, relieves stress and promotes a positive mood.

·         Helps the circulatory system deliver oxygen and nutrients to the body.

·         Helps the removal of toxins and waste products from your body.

·         Reduces the rate of bone loss, the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes as well as building and maintaining strong, healthy bones, muscles and joints.

·         Alleviates feelings of depression and anxiety.

·         Controls weight.

·         Promotes restful sleep.

So exercise is not only good for you, it makes you HAPPY  J

I’ve been a personal trainer for almost 15 years but over the last 5 years, we, as a family of 5 moved to a plant based diet which has transformed our lives for the better. So much time was spent navigating my way through the challenges and the highs and lows that came with this transition and making it fit as a working - personal training - exercising - Mum of 3. A new area of expertise was born...

We now know, we are doing it, living it and thriving.
