One of the most popular flavors of ice cream in Sweden is salmiakki, or salty licorice, which can also be coal black in color. Oh, and it looks like this. Delicious, ain’t it?

Sorry for the late answer @dongpaya , but here is my advice for you:

How to find a language learning partner:

Find accounts on instagram that are studying the same target language as you and message them

Search online for any sites in your target language where you can find a penpal

Look for facebook groups with people learning your target language and ask them if someone is interested in becoming your penpal

Search for apps like Tandem where you can chat with people all over the world

Find language courses in your city and make friends with the other students there and try to only talk to them in the target language

If you're at uni or in college or even at school, hang up an ad on the bulletin board asking if someone else is learning that language and wants to chat with you

Subject: The use of ‘som’ 

1. The combination ‘som helst’

Som helst after vem, vad, var, vilken/vilket/vilka has the meaning; doesn’t matter which one, which ever/what ever

Example: Vem som helst kan göra det.                 Everyone can do that.

                Du kan ta vilken bok som helst.                 You can take whatever book you like.

2. Interrogative pronouns as a subject in indirect questions

When in an indirect question an interrogative pronoun is a subject, the interrogative pronoun will be followed by the word ‘som’

Example: Vem har gjort det? - Jag undrar, vem som har gjort det.                 Vilka bord är dyrast? - Jag undrar, vilka bord som är dyrast.

Since the election of 2002, some Swedes have been voting for the Donald Duck Party in elections. Yes, you have heard that right: The Donald Duck Party. Though the party has never been registered as an official party, people have been voting for it for years. In 2014 it got a 133 votes! In 2010, it got a 107 votes, which made it the largest party without pre-printed ballots in Sweden.

Skogsrå (“The forest spirit”) are mythical female creatures living in the Swedish forests. They appear human, as they take the form of a small woman, though they have a hollow back and a tail. Those who follow them into the forests are never to be seen again.

Alfons Mucha

I’m working with the Swedish textbook Rivstart, and they had a short biography of some Swedish artists and said that I should also make one for an artist from my country. So here it is, very short, probably full of errors, a biography of Alfons Mucha:

Alfons Mucha är en tjeckisk målare. Han föddes i Ivančice i 1860 och hade fem syskor. Han studerade i Tyskland och Frankrike, när han arbetade som en illustratör och grafiker. I 1894 hade han en möjlighet att måla en affisch till teaterpjäsen ”Gismonda” och affischen var grunden varför han blev plötsligt berömd – över natten, kan man säga. Han också blev viktig i Frankrikes sällskap. Han fortsatt med att måla affischer. Han utvecklade sin egen stil, som kallas ”Mucha stil”. För honom är typiskt att visa kvinnor och natur, med pastellfärger. Sitt livets arbete är ”Slovanská epopej”, på vilken han arbetade för 18 år och vilken består av tjugo jättestor målningar som visar slavisk historia.
