Poisonous Love is what I thought Harmony Secret was gonna be. But they’re surpassing HS by leaps and bounds. Don’t get me wrong, Lookme and Sonya have awesome chemistry and great love scenes. But HS fell short compared to The Affair even. The pilot was better.

I am quite enjoying Poisonous Love. Ginny and Jayna are turning out to be a good pairing. Decent acting. Good chemistry both on and offscreen. Looking forward to the rest of the series and hopefully Northstar gives them another juicy project.

Some pairing are not great either because the story lines they are given are so so. The chemistry is off, the director could be the issue or they’re just not a good match.

I know people like Faye and Yoko together but they were a bad match. Faye was light year ahead of Yoko. They should have been paired with diffident people from the start. It didn’t help that the story probably contributed to the ick. But Yoko played it so infantile like that it felt wrong to root for them.

Only You with Ling and Orm felt disappointing. They did not need 14 episodes. And I really thought their intimate scenes would improve on their second series. It didn’t. They still kiss so awkwardly that it feels uncomfortable to watch. That’s the only thing that keeps them from being top tier. Maybe it’s the director. Maybe she’s the issue and can’t pull out these more believable performances from Ling and Orm with their love scenes. Cause I see glimpses of greatness, but they often fall back to that awkward closed mouth kisses.

Ginny and Jayna I am lapping up every episodes. I just wish Northstar would turn on their damn subtitles for the extra content for inter fans.

ok I love that someone commented about this on a post of mine so I made a video from when Lingling explained the 00k name. Such a cool way to write Lingling Kwong and it's super cute when Orm and Ling say 00k as "sǔun-sǔun-k" since that's the number zero in Thai. Chinese - zero is pronounced "Líng" (sounds like her name Ling) Thai - zero is pronounced "sǔun"
