The Veronicas star confirms her engagement

The Veronicas’ singer Jessica Origliasso is heading down the aisle after announcing her engagement with boyfriend Kai Carlton.

Origliasso, who has been dating Carlton for one year, shared the happy news on Instagram on Friday.

“Happy 1 year & THE REST OF MY LIFE with you @kaigodlike,” she wrote, alongside a photo of the couple. “I’ve been happy crying for 2 hours. I’ve never felt so full.”

Carlton also posted a photo of the couple to his Instagram account, along with the caption: “She said ‘yes’ and I’m the happiest mf alive. @jessicaveronica here’s to a lifetime of love and memories. Thanks for being in my life.”

Origliasso and Carlton started dating in November 2018, shortly after her split from actress Ruby Rose.

11 years later and I would still die for @theveronicasmusic.  💛🧡❤️💚💙💜 It was a glaring sign of fate that I could not possibly ignore for me to get to spend my 1st ever PRIDE with @jessicaveronica - who dismantled heteronormativity for me 11 years ago. My whole world and identity has never been the same since and I’ve grown up to be such a better person for it. I owe her so freaking much. 🏳️‍🌈 I truly can not make coherent sentences to make people understand how much love I have in my whole soul for Jess + @lisa_veronica and how hard it hits me sometimes. They will forever own the biggest place in my heart and I could cry about it. They’ve always been such a safe space for me and many others and I’m grateful they’ve blessed me to be in their presence again yesterday after 4 of the longest ever years. Can’t wait for them to return on a proper tour for TV4 and continue to destroy me on all levels with these latex outfits and new era. I LOVE YOU MY QUEENS 👑💋
