I just really love how human this mission feels. Both the crew and the ground making fun jokes and references ("amaze, amaze, amaze!") or things like Glover saying "hello baby!" to his family back on Earth, or how "moon joy" has become the team's favorite phrase, or those craters being named "Integrity" and "Carroll," or the astronauts being encouraged to describe how seeing the moon makes them feel (and doing so to a moving degree), and also describing how much working and talking together improves their capabilities on all fronts, and both sides constantly telling each other how excited they are and that there's "smiles all around" Not that missions like Apollo never had stuff like this, but it's different hearing it all live. Wonderful experience all around.
my favorite thing about ichigo is that I somewhat went into Bleach ready to see the whole Hype Moments and Aura shonen standard with him and instead he's someone looking for an excuse to throw himself into oncoming traffic at every opportunity and in every other panel he looks like he's being hunted for sport.
And while this is happening while people are buried under rubble, while children freeze in tents, while entire families vanish overnight powerful men sit comfortably and present plans for a “New Gaza.”
Clean slides. Perfect buildings. Investment numbers. A future imagined without the people who are currently being erased.
They talk about peace while bombs are still falling. They talk about rebuilding while destruction is ongoing. They draw maps over land that is soaked with blood and call it hope.
The ceasefire is a lie.
What’s happening is ethnic cleansing, repackaged with the language of development and diplomacy. You cannot build a “new” city by destroying the people who belong to it. You cannot promise a future while actively killing the present.
This isn’t peace. It’s violence with better branding.
Today, three journalists were killed in a single airstrike.
Not soldiers. Not fighters. Journalists. People who believed that if they kept documenting, if they kept filming, if they kept writing, the world would eventually care.
In Gaza, telling the truth has become one of the most dangerous things you can do. Holding a camera is treated like holding a weapon. Every photo risks your life. Every report could be your last.
They had names. Families. People waiting for them to come home. They were not numbers, and they were not mistakes. They were silenced because truth is inconvenient, because images expose what statements try to hide.

Ok, so... I think I finished the Soul Society arc and I have to say, Bleach is really that good.
I started reading it because it was the only manga of the Big Three I knew nothing about, except a couple of things here and there, so I decided to give a try and I dropped in the first week and then I started reading it again.
The first arc was a bit slow for my taste but then it really went really hard by the end of it.
But the Soul Society arc is so fun. It's all I want in a shounen, which is fights and moments that makes you go "ok that was hard". Narratively, this was the arc that really expanded the lore, like the Sereitei, the Captains, the power system, everything was just masterfully done.
The way that each captain is introduced into the story is also really cool and it really makes them feel that every one of them is important in their own way (except Ichimaru, fuck him).
The fights are absolutely the highlight of this arc, they are so elaborate and fun to read, which is probably the most important thing a shounen manga should do. If the story is not that good, at least make the fights fun (cough cough, Nanatsu no Taizai).
It's really fun reading a 20+ years old manga because even if you know something about it, you can still be surprised. For example, I already knew that Yoruichi was a woman (a really hot btw) and she wasn't just a cat that talked but the moment that she reveals that to Ichigo is so damn funny.
He's like "yo, sorry about making you drag me here with that little body of yours."
And she's like, "it's okay man, i brought you here in my true form."
And Ichigo's face is priceless.
Anyway, I knew that Aizen was a villain but I didn't know why he was one. And now that I'm in the know... He's a really sick villain. Obviously, I still don't know why he did what he did yet but the way he explains his plan is so sick and it doesn't feel corny, you know? Like 'oh the villain is explaining the whole thing just to show off but in the end he doesn't actually do it', and Aizen's plan is so complex, his manipulation is well done and it makes you feel like 'okay what do we do now?'
In summary, Bleach is really good and I didn't expect to like it this much.
I love the fact that despite the fact that the squad 11 is supposed to be the most dangerous company of the Gotei 13, it's still a bunch of warriors obeying (and fearing) a little girl with pink hair. :D
And in their own ways, they take care of her.
Kenpachi is there to protect her, to defend her no matter what, to bring her anywhere she wants, to bend to all her wishes.
Ikkaku is, after Kenpachi, the one who interact the more with her as what she is: a little girl (more than a vice-captain). He's also the one who learn her how to control her reiatsu. And he's also the one, with Yumichika, who learn her how to read, to write and to count playing games with her (it was the only way for her to learn something).
Yumichika is the more deferent with her, calling her "Kusajishi-sama" all the time (when Ikkaku often calls her Yachiru (Kenpachi doesn't care by the way)). He's the one who's there to comb her hair, to read her stuff (not necessarily fairy tales) and to chat for hours with her.
They won't say it explicitely but they love her (and they are wrapped around her fingers).
(Fun fact, the first drawing is a redraw of an old one... and the old sketch looks better to me. XD)
