A few clips 🖇️ from @agnes.varda 1981 documentary Mur Murs (French for wall walls) Much of the film is focused on Chicano artists 👩‍🎨 (artists from other backgrounds are included) of Los Angeles at the time. The film dwells on state violence and it’s affect on the communities, it’s evident also the amount of work that it takes to paint 🎨 a mural, the amounts of creative skill and by whom they are commissioned and paid for.
