In collaboration with Defining sessions we bring to you another WhyNot experience!

WhyNot is a creative network, we showcase, connect and encourage collaborations between different art forms, championing and supporting our current culture.

We’ll be hosting the event across two floors at Defining sessions current space in Shoreditch from 5pm. Defining Sessions shares WhyNot’s sense of community and the idea of creative empowerment through positive change and collaboration.

The evening begins from 5pm with a pop up Exhibition of multidisciplinary Artists, live Interactive art, speed networking, DJ's, and finish on a series of diverse performances (Musicians/Poets/Actors). Not forgetting, the best free cupcakes from our chef Sunny East!

Serøtønin-member, Jaja Kisses' has just released her debut music project 'Young Fashioned' EP, which is a sinuous mix of 14 diverse tracks. 4 years in the making, it has a broad range of sounds and touches on many topics of young fashioned people.

We spent a very cold, neon-lit, winter evening in London with Jaja Kisses. Talking about music... and the colour purple. Have a listen!

Don't get a Job, Make a Job - how to succeed as a creative graduate

_First things first - the days of trading in your degree certificate for a nice safe job offer are gone, and who knows if they will ever return. It is simply not enough to graduate anymore, the world demands more from you – you are the future, you are the next generation of entrepreneurs, design-thinkers, hyper-specialists and cultural agitators. You have a role, you have a responsibility…it is no longer about the world of the design…. it is about the design of your world!_ Being a writer is one of those jobs where you are one, because you do it. The title makes no grand gestures and has no barriers to entry - unlike many other professions - I love that about it. It doesn’t mean you will be a good writer obviously; there are no junior authors, middleweight bloggers or senior poets! It is quite non-discriminatory in that sense and as such is open and accommodating, it encourages agency and I’m all for agency, for people with balls and determination and it is simple - if you write, then you are a writer. And I wanted to write a book, so I started writing, and I wrote a book. It is all in the mind.

We’ve featured this book a few times and we absolutely recommend it to all young creatives.

On the night we will be having 6 projectors which will projecting YOUR visuals to enhance and shape the experience alongside our amazing DJ lineup.

We’re looking for creative / trippy :

Animations // Short Video Clips / Video Loops // Still Art works and images

Programmed Art // GIFS // Experiments
