Wardrobe Challenger

In my efforts to actually care what I look like during the day and in public, I am challenging myself to use the clothes in my closet without having to buy more clothes, and the fact that I'm 5'4" and just a little over $2 and some change, this challenge could be interesting and borderline fun.

In an effort to declutter my life, I have spontaneously chosen a weekend while my husband is on Mancation to sort through my closet and create a capsule wardrobe.  

I had seen and heard of this before capsule wardrobe thing before and was recently trying to explain it to my sister while she was visiting.  Last week, I researched it. Just viewing images of other people’s closets was liberating, and I wanted to experience it for myself.  

Thursday night, I started with the dresses, then on to the sweaters, pants, etc.  If you’re wanting to know more about capsule wardrobes, go here to the UNFANCY blog.

Once I managed to narrow down my summer season selection.  I quickly grabbed 10 items out of my closet and created 12 outfits.  I snapped photos of those outfits because I want you to see that less really is more.  So quick and easy to do.  Don’t mind my disheveled appearance.  It’s really about the outfits and putting it together quickly.

Dear Diary, we have to share a bed for 7 days!

So yesterday consisted of many phone calls of, are you brings a blow dryer, are you bringing a dress, what about a flat iron, bathing suit? Then mom says, you know we will have to sleep in the same bed. Picture above… The body language says it all. Fuck!
