I was scrolling through Facebook today, when I came across this pure atrocity. You’ve got me messed up if you think I would dare combine mayonnaise and peanut butter into a sandwich. I mean, this combination is just simply unethical. Despite my strong opinions, this funky food combination was apparently a thing during the 1960s... but why? My guess is that anyone who ate this must have been a communist agent and should have been heavily investigated by the FBI. Thank goodness the human race has since evolved from the dark ages of eating peanut butter and mayonnaise.
Looks like the law has finally caught up to good ole Mark Zuckerberg... and so have the memes. I know users don’t like Facebook stealing their data but I don’t believe its that big of an issue. In my opinion, you shouldn’t post information online you don’t want to be jeopardized. As long as Mark isn’t stealing my credit card or SSN, its all good. On the bright side, this scandal provides us with a new wave of memes.
April Fool’s has come and gone and yet the Fortnite map and Tilted Towers remain un-nuked by a comet that is slowly drawing close to earth. But that will likely change soon.
Maybe Tilted Towers getting struck by the comet may not be such a bad thing. The destruction of the city would allow the creators to reshape the map and provide an overall more balanced game. I mean the life expectancy of dropping at Tilted has got to be like 2 minutes tops and I’m hella tired of dying there lol Despite these flaws, Tilted Towers will be missed #Rip.

Looks like the forth season of Rick and Morty might be delayed :( There appears to be a problem between the show and the network; however, I’m confident they will resolve the issue. Rick and Morty is the most popular show on the network, so they really have no choice but to renew it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops IV???
Recently there has been a ton of buzz about Call of Duty releasing a new game based upon the Black Ops story line. Now let’s have a little history lesson: Call of Duty peaked back in the 2007-2011 era. During this time, we saw legendary games such as World at War, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, and the original Black Ops. These games were a blast to play with friends and their story lines were absolutely legendary. There was nothing like “noob tubing” a 12-year-old kid across the map until he raged quit or “quick scoping” your friends on maps like Rust. Since this Golden Age of Call of Duty Games, fans have been continually let down.
For the past several years, COD has released absolutely trash games such as Infinite Warfare, in which your characters could dance (whip and dab)… The problem with COD is that they forgot their roots and began to make their games way too futuristic and target a younger audience. Recently, the company has attempted to solve this problem by releasing COD World War II; however, it just never reached the same status as games in the past. There are also rumors that Black Ops 4 will come with a remastered version of Modern Warfare 2, which will definitely contribute to the number of sales the company makes. It’s sad that COD has to sell remastered games because they can’t make good games anymore. Overall, I believe Call of Duty is on their last leg and I don’t see them bouncing back to the #1 FPS game in the world. RIP COD…

As most of you know, Vine died a tragic death in 2016 (#rip); however, it lives on in our hearts forever. Even though Vine has been out of our lives for about two years now, I find my friends and I quoting it nearly every day. In fact, Vine is almost more popular now than it was when it still existed. Well, these kids took vine remembrance to a whole new level by throwing a vine theme party. That's right, the guests came dressed as their favorite characters and recreated some of the most well known and treasured vines. I honestly hope someone I know throws a Vine party because this looks frick'n lit, y'all.

Finally! After years of injustice, the NFL Competition Committee confirmed that Dez Bryant did, in fact, catch the infamous pass at Lambeau Field in 2014.
Recap: The Dallas Cowboys were Playing the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. The Cowboys were down with only a little time left on the clock, so Tony Romo aired one out deep to Dez Bryant. Dez made an amazing catch only yards away from the end zone; however, the pass was later ruled incomplete. This call was extremely controversial and ended up costing the Cowboys the game and a chance to play for the NFC Championship.
What makes this so disappointing is that the Cowboys were actually good that year. It was the last healthy year of Tony Romo, Dez could still catch, the offensive line was OG, and Demarco Murray lead the league in rushing yards… Then everything fell apart. Tony got hurt, Dez couldn’t catch, and our defense got exposed every game. Overall, the fact that the NFL finally ruled this as a catch only makes the pain worse. We could have gone somewhere! What do you get when you add strangely strong political beliefs and the internet? Well, actually a lot of horrible stuff… but what about a dating website? Yes, there is now a dating website for avid Donald Trump supporters (https://trump.dating). This site is dedicated to matching couples together based on their common love for President Donald Trump. I honestly hope this is a joke, but then again, maybe it’s actually a really good idea. For instance, if you’re going to sign up for a dating site based on your odd feelings about a particular president, you’ll probably find a lot of likeminded people on that particular website. To be fair, this is not just about President Trump; this is just weird in general. I mean could you imagine meeting your soulmate on a website based on your love for Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, or Vladimir Putin? The internet is absolutely insane, and that’s why I love it. This poor website is about to get trolled so hard; I can’t wait!
So… How about that new Snapchat Update?
About a week ago (Bobby Shmurda reference, if that’s still funny), Snapchat released a new update that altered the placement of users’ stories. Rather than having a separate page for sending/receiving snaps and a different page for viewing stories, Snapchat has combined the two pages. Though this may sound rather efficient, it has actually just made things more complicated and clustered. Watching stories has become a hassle, so people just quit watching them all together. In fact, Twitter has been flooded with memes and tweets mocking the new update, which I find absolutely hilarious. Though Snapchat believes it will just take a little time for people to get used to the new update, some people have quit using the app altogether. For example, I posted to my Instagram story for the first time ever just simply because I knew no one would see it, if it were on my Snapchat story. Overall, it will be very interesting to see whether or not Snapchat folds to the pressure of its users or if it decides to keep the new update.
One of the most popular smartphone apps right now is that of HQ. This app is essentially a live gameshow in which hundreds of thousands of users participate to win real money. In order to win the cash prize, the user must surpass 12 trivia questions. The first few questions are pretty easy; however, around question #4, the difficulty skyrockets. Out of about 1,000,000 players, only about 20-40 will actually win. These winners will then split the cash prize, which ranges anywhere from $1,500 all the way to $20,000. All prizes being donated by Intermedia Labs, Inc. The game is also hosted live multiple times per day: generally, at 2:00, 2:30, and 8:00 pm.
Overall, I think the app is a great idea, and it’s fascinating that hundreds of thousands of people tune in to play; however, there are some downfalls. #1. The host, Scott Rogowsky, is known for talking quite a bit before the game actually begins, so players end up sitting around for 4-5 minutes before the game actually starts. In addition to this, he can sometimes get on my nerves, but that’s just my personal opinion. #2. The game show is hosted in real time, so you have to be ready to play at that time, or you’ll miss that particular game. I find myself waiting around for about 10-15 minutes before the game to starts because I’m afraid to miss it. #3. The questions are extremely difficult, which is good; however, it’s highly unlikely that the normal user will ever win. Therefore, you will generally just waste your time.
Despite these downfalls, the app is free, you can win actual money, and it’s a decently fun game so I really can’t complain. The app was also featured in a Super Bowl commercial and rumors about an HQ2 app are quickly circulating. One of the main reasons why I love the internet is just the absolute randomness of the user-generated content. As some of you may know, one of the most recent viral meme is “Uganda Knuckles,” a Sonic The Hedgehog character, who famously says “do you know de wae?” In addition to this, another trending topic right now are battle royale style video games such as Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite. These games consist of a 100 player free-for-all in which the last man standing is the ultimate winner. Well, leave it to the internet to combine these two things. Yes… a Uganda Knuckles Battle Royale video game… This glitchy iPhone app perfectly blends the lovableness of Uganda Knuckles with the intensity of a third person shooter. There’s nothing more “internet” than dozens of Uganda Knuckles running around with RPG’s and other weapons. Overall, it’s not the best game in the world, but I appreciate the fact that someone took the time to come up with the concept and actually generate a Uganda Knuckles Battle Royale game. To whoever is behind this, you’re going places, kid.
