I’m an editorial cartoonist, it’s in my DNA. I’m also an illustrator of anything (cartoons, products, portraits, landscapes). Even people in the biz have a hard time understanding that of me. I draw for a living but I also draw because it’s who I am and it brings me pleasure. So I have friends who have advised me to find a style and draw in ONLY that style so people will know how to find me.

I did this little cartoon of dancing eyes for my granddaughter who was born with an eye condition commonly known as ‘dancing eyes’.

I love her and I believe that as she grows she should be comfortable being who she is. She’s too little to know anything about her condition and her parents are seeking a way to improve her condition, so maybe she’ll never know about it.

If for some reason this stays with her I would make sure she’s proud of who she is and this is my way of showing love.

Digital drawings of waves. For a long time I’ve wanted to take on drawing a wave of ocean water. Because of the colors, the prism effect and the ripples. The younger me would obsess over photo accuracy (I used photo reference), that everything had to line up perfectly otherwise it would ruin the entire effort. Me now knows it’s about artistic interpretation and practice. I thought of posting the reference photos but I feel that will distract and you’ll judge these the same way younger me would.
