Also, I do want to shout out @anxiousworm and @novazentryx for their AMAZING WK Reboot AU, which is what inspired me to go on and do this. Also, this will be an AO3 fanfiction as well as a Tumblr ideadump bible.
You may or may not have noticed that I haven't been posting here for a while. This is because this Tumblr is somewhat obsolete. I am currently working on another project, based heavily on what was originally set to be Wild Boys, called Wild Kratts: Reprogrammed. Season One is actually already on AO3 and complete.

If I may, @krazykratts and @novazentryx, allow me to add something you never had in your Reboot AU:
ARM THE TEAM. For a few reasons:
Poaching is a serious issue, all around the world. Illegal hunting and trade of animal parts has turned many parts of the wilderness into ganglands.
The team may have to stay in towns around reservations or to restock, or they may have to research animals who reside in active warzones. Some of these towns may be rife with crime or suffer from active terrorism, and they may need to defend themselves.
Animals are dangerously unpredictable. It may be necessary to defend yourself against an animal, and that may require a firearm.
Therefore, I believe the Tortuga would have an armory. But what would it contain? Here are some of my ideas:
Handguns
Walther PDP 4" (9mm Luger. A solid personal defense pistol that won the 2021 Industry Choice Award and the 2021 G&A Handgun of the Year Award. Reliable brand, reliable caliber, reliable power.)
Glock 17 Gen 5 (9mm Parabellum NATO. The industry standard in personal defense, used by hundreds of militaries and police departments around the world. Considered one of the world's most reliable handguns.)
Taurus Judge (45 Colt/.410 Gauge Shell. The Wrist Destroyer 9001. The Pain Machine. The closest a revolver can come to being an Elephant Gun. Used in wild boar hunting.)
Shotguns
Remington Model 870 Hardwood Home Defense (12 Gauge Slug. THE duty shotgun. Used by basically every police force and military in the world. There is a reason why over 11 million of these have been made since 1950.)
Mossberg 590A1 (12 Gauge Slug. The police forces and militaries that aren't using the Remington 870 are using this.)
Rifles
Colt M4 Monolithic (5.56 NATO. What was the US Army standard rifle for most (if not all) of the GWOT. Reliable.)
Winchester Model 70 Super Grade (.308 Winchester. The CLASSIC bolt-action hunting rifle. Used for sport by the brothers.)
Now, why do they use these? Simple: THEY WORK.
These firearms have stood the test of time by defending people around the world. The Team doesn't care about flashiness or cool factor. They care about being able to depend on their weapon system when their lives are on the line. And what more can you ask for of a gun?
