Dear depression,
Why you have to come to me every time I decide to take a break from my anxiety. Like I‘m either depressed or anxious and there is no inbetween, like there is no time that I feel good about life. I just graduated uni and with a decent grade. I was in uni for subject I loved originally at school, but then at the last year of uni I stopped enjoying it. Something i loved quietly died along with it. Then I had this job I thought I loved until the noise became too much and my mind too overwhelmed with all the stuff that was happening. The voices in my head keep telling me that I‘m not good enough at the job i did, although people told me otherwise. Now I don‘t know what to do with my life. It‘s like something in me died and the rest is mourning its loss, but there is nothing new to replace it with. No new Passion, no new purpose. I feel like I‘m walking through an endless swamp, no anchor, no bay at sight. If I keep going will the swamp eventually turn into a lake, where the water is clear and the bay is near by. Will i be able to find the end of this darkness and come into the light. Is there even a light at all? These questions sit in my mind with no particular answer. Just fear of the unknown and sadness where passion used to be.
