This afternoon I took a bath. A regular bath with regular soap in a regular tub in a regular bathroom. And there was nothing unusual about my bath today, except for the fact that I fell in love. Yeah, I fell in love. I fell in love with someone that I fall in love with everytime I open and close my eyes. Someone that speaks peace into the air I breathe. I fall in love with him in different ways on different days. And today I closed my eyes and fell in love with Jesus. "Falling in love with Jesus Falling in love with Jesus Falling in love with Jesus was the best thing I've ever done In his arms I feel protected In his arms never disconnected In his arms I feel protected There is no place I rather be" I don't know if I've ever heard that song like I did today but all I could do was close my eyes, sing along, and be taken away while being touch by the strongest and most unconditional and patient love that ever was. Matthew 5:44-47

It’s rarely easy to do the right thing and go against the crowd, especially when it might consist of your family and friends. And it’s even harder to turn the other cheek or even bite your tongue and stand in what seems to be defeat. But at some point we must. We can’t let hate be what drives us. It must be love. Take time this weekend and think about the things that you do and say. Spread love and not hate and embrace life around you. Look for sightings of God in even the little things. And don’t try to always be right but do right.

“But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Faithful Friday

Today is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!

As school is around the corner and we all start to get a little bit more stressed in preparation. Remember that God is love and through him we can do all things.

For the past week, I’d been feeling depressed and experiencing anxiety. But today I found a letter that I wrote to myself that reminded me to find a way to love myself because if God loves me then who am I to hate myself. It sounds stupid and the thinking is a little backwards but it makes sense when you take the time and really think about it. And always remember Joshua 1:9 “ Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever though goest.”
