THE PHONE CALL
The phone rings, a number not known I pick up, and I hear a familiar, comforting voice I can't put a name nor a face to the voice So I fumble my way through the conversation With a smile so wide that I don't know why.
4 years is a lot of time, things have changed but some things will always remain the same. Your sense of humour and the way you joke about things, your enigmatic soul and how steadfast your heart is.
That phone call rekindled an old relationship A friendship, stored in the corridors of my mind That had taken the backseat 4 years ago When life took us by storm and left us wanting more
4 years went by so fast, now you are an army boy I was so proud that I could hardly stop smiling That day I learned, how a single phone call could make me smile, It was just a call you say and I say it was so much more.
