I want to point out she really did use him here. This isn’t a Sauron trick. She manipulated all this stuff in Numenor to get what she wanted and her believing she’s in control of everyone and everything is exactly why she overlooked Halbrands glaring red flags.

She saw him, saw the crest, and IMMEDIATELY thought “I can use this man to get what I want”. And she did, without hesitation.

Galadriel is not a perfect person and imo she’s one of the most deeply flawed female fantasy protagonists we have had in years. She wants power and control almost as much as Sauron does and it’s a central part of her character, even having roots in Tolkien’s story for her.

Elrond, Gil-galad, all the elves, Adar, and Sauron all see it and even told her. She is on a dark path.

Even without the ship stuff this is a god tier way to portray a connection with an enemy. This is absolutely nothing like typical villain and hero interactions involving an innocent cinnamon roll character. She is a truly flawed protagonist and we never get those.
