As most of you have probably already guessed, no, I do not plan on doing anything with the remake. But I am following it with with interest, and at least based on the first episode it actually doesn't seem half bad!

I also found an old gifset that’s been stuck in my drafts gathering dust for over a year – I think I didn’t publish it back then because I thought it was too similar to another set, but perhaps now would be a good time to share it?

UPDATE TIME: I know I said I'd start giffing again as soon as I finish my thesis, which actually already happened a couple of months ago, but I'm afraid I'm currently having some nerve problems in my arms and pretty much everything I do on the computer is making them worse, so gif-making isn't exactly my #1 priority at the moment. I really do plan on coming back to finish the job eventually despite these endless excuses, but it's not going to be as soon as I'd hoped. I hope you understand.

HOWEVER, if someone wants something simple done, I think I can handle a few requests. You'll have to be pretty specific about what you want, though, so no "every time character X does thing Y" requests please. Include information on what you want giffed, where to find it in the series, and any additional wishes you may have – just remember, there's a reason why I'm called The Worst Gif Witch, so don't be unreasonable. :) Oh, and please use the ask system rather than comments or reblogs because I rarely check my notes on this blog. I'll enable anon asks as well.

Hello, my dear followers!

Happy new year, and many thanks for sticking around even after I've been inactive for so long!

Unfortunately, this isn't an "I'm back!" announcement, not just yet, but I wanted to let you guys know that after I’m done with my thesis, which will hopefully be sometime within the next few months, I should finally have the time to continue this little project.

In case you were wondering, yes, I am still here and very much intend to complete my mission of turning this entire series into crudely made gifs. However, unfortunately real life happened and I’m not yet sure when I’ll be able to continue this holy quest, but trust me, I will be back.

By the way, I just realized that even though I haven't been able to figure out how to mass edit the gif frames with my current tools (I guess I live up to my name, huh?) I could probably adjust the gamma setting in the video itself before taking the screenshots. Meaning that when I move on to the next episode (in four years or so at this pace, oops) I might finally be able to make these dark scenes a bit brighter.
