Colors and the Aftons in fnaf movies

So this is a bit of a ramble, but I was talking fnaf with my partner and we realized some interesting things with the color each Afton is wearing in the movies.

So we have William, as Steve Raglan. He wears a pale yellow shirt and a slightly purple tie. Then we have dream sequence/flashback William, and he wears a purple button down.

Then we have Vanessa, when out of her police uniform, she wears a pale yellow sweater.

Then Micheal, who wears a purple button down under his black coat.

Ok so, William wearing the purple shirt in Vanessa’s dream indicates she heavily associates it with her father. So much so we can assume Micheal also associates it, and is attempting to be so much like his dad, that he’s also wearing a purple button down.

On the other end of the spectrum, First movie Vanessa is trying so hard not to be like her father, wearing yellow. Opposite of purple. But, we see with Steve he’s also in yellow. Vanessa is STILL tied to him. In a way, yellow is representing both Vanessa and William trying to fit into society. Be normal. But we see with Steve’s splash of purple in his tie, that he is not truly trying to change like Vanessa is. And despite Vanessa’s efforts to live a normal life, change her name, etc, in the end she still, even if it’s unintentional, ends up connected to her dad.

Just- both Afton kids wearing their dad’s color both unintentionally and intentionally okay?
