No, you see, I wish to be an author. Not in marketing. Or an influencer. I wish to tell my stories, be told I did a fantastic job, and then go back to my hovel to scribble some more. I am delicate of constitution and awkward in crowds.

As the resident Writing Whovian herself, I must remind all Whovians: Doctor Who never dies, it merely regenerates ❤️

project hail mary is insane bc the first half is like oh my god the world is dying and there's alien bacteria eating the sun and there's some guy alone on a ship and he's having a breakdown and the flashbacks are getting darker and this is a tragedy the likes of which i have never seen. then BAM andy weir says fuck you actually. here's this pokemon guy he's here to save the day with the power of friendship. and it's the best thing you've ever seen in your life
This is what I think makes PHM such a good, topical piece of sci-fi. Yes, the world is already on the path to suffering, a path of (mostly) irreversible damage, and yes there will be disagreement and strife and risk, and people will have to invest in a better future that they can only hope to achieve...
But there will still be moments of collaboration, of friendship, of connection in unexpected ways. We will still strive for a "good" future, even if the "best" future is out of reach. Because the alternative would be even worse.
MY NAME, IS FRICKIN MOON MOON. I’D BE THE MOST IDIOTIC WOLF. ‘OH SHIT WHO BROUGHT FUCKING MOON MOON ALONG?’

Never not reblogging.
I’ve only seen this post in screenshots
I’m very surprised this post hasn’t broken a million.
Project Hail Mary said "what if you were so deeply scared that you didn't want to try but then found out that all you needed was a hard push and somebody believing in you to realize you were capable all along" and also "sometimes growth isn't fighting your way back to where you were before but realizing that it no longer serves you and choosing to move forward instead"
"Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name..." hits a little different, considering the penny isn't minted anymore...
magical girl shows are good because their attacks will be something like "super love sunshine friendship beam" but make no mistake, super love sunshine friendship beam WILL end you. super love sunshine friendship beam will leave a crater in the ground where you once stood. you cannot understimate the power of super love sunshine friendship beam.
oopsie, I tiptoed through old memories and now my soul aches a little
Dear diary,
Have you ever grieved something you never had? I ask because there's this guy I met on one of those dating websites, the kind where they have virtual group speed-dates. He was exactly my type, he shared my religious background (but that was a factor of the dating site), he loves history...
I never got matched with him for a one-on-one speed date, but I took a chance and DM'd him my number. No response. I gave it one last shot by messaging him on LinkedIn, and still nothing.
I didn't expect anything, and he doesn't owe me anything. But I can't help feeling that that was it, he was my one shot. I know it was just the one time I met him, and he could have things I wouldn't like about him that I just don't know about.
And yet this feeling persists. Like watching a bus roll by just after you've realized it was the one you were supposed to be on.
The weather is getting colder, the skies grayer. I've been unemployed since June, and I'm no closer to finding a job. I'm 27 years old. I was afraid to turn 25 and graduate from my masters degree program, and now I can't remember ever having been 26.
It'll get better somehow, I know. I'm trying every day, even if it's just the dishes.
