isla watched as her former flame separated her papers, compartmentalizing them seemingly the same way she compartmentalized her life, something isla had tried to do in the past, but failed miserably at. her emotions, whether positive or negative, always seeped into other parts of her life, and even after she ruined something, she couldn’t quite walk away from it, as evidenced by her presence at the other girl’s table. isla licked her bottom lip and cocked her head to the side, “remember when i was your top priority?” she asked, proving that she was never good at letting go of things, even when she had been the one to discard it to begin with, “those times were fun,” she told the other, reaching over to her and barely ghosting her fingers over the other’s porcelain hand before she brought it back to herself and sat up straighter, “before i got bored, of course,” she continued. “and i’m only over here because i figured it would be a fun stroll down memory lane,” she sighed wistfully, “anyways, you could have left by now, and you haven’t. so what does that say about you?”
