Wanda looked up, smiling brightly. "Really? You're one of the few who would say that..." She froze, remembering Melanie's lessons on sarcasm. Seems even other aliens understood the mysterious language. "Oh. That was sarcasm, wasn't it? I'm still learning to pick up on it."

"Your family is here? That's...that's lovely." She smiled. "I see. I think I should use that line when people ask about some of my names."

And it’s not getting any better. I beg to differ, although it must be nice to have a friend among them.

"So are you? Little worms I mean." for a reason, he kind of found that amusing "Nick."

Wanda giggled, a wide smile and blush now on her face. "Well, I suppose we are. We're silvery, bright and have thin attachments we use to connect ourselves to our hosts."

"Nick...that's a human name, correct? Did you pick it when you came here?"

Can’t say I don’t understand you, we’ve spent 10 years trying to fit in with the humans and we’re still guarded like some criminals. So you’re basically saying you’re an alien too? Or at least the thing inside that body?

"Ten years is a long time...I am sorry they still treat you in such a way. The humans...they're strong-willed, and they oppose change. Not all of them think that way though. I used to be seen as a parasite, but they opened up to me and embraced me. One is even like a sister to me."

"Yes, I am an alien inside this body. Actually,the humans used to call us little worms inside these bodies." Wanda looked at the marks on his skin, then met his eye. "What is your name?"

What is your kind exactly?

The blonde bit her lip, giving herself a moment to find the proper words. "My kind has many names, but we are called Souls on this one. We are from the Origin planet, but we need hosts to survive. We travel from planet to planet, making it a better place. I...I know that sounds dreadful, but my kind is hard to explain." She lowered her eyes, suddenly recalling how horrid her kind came across to others.

Your kind? I don’t see any markings on you.

Wanda smiled softly, blushing the way her body is prone to. "Our kind doesn't have any markings, unlike yours. Your kind probably hasn't heard much of us, since we never came to your original planet." The blonde tilted her head and brushed a stray curl away from her face. "Our only marking is our eyes." For emphasis, Wanderer turned towards the light so he could see the reflective gray within them.

Wanderer walked back from her bath, wondering what the others were doing right now. After trying - and failing - to help in the fields, they insisted they'd be done soon and she should wash off. It was strange to be pampered this way after being in such a strong form before. They told her the reasons they'd picked her new host, and she was so happy they went to such lengths for her, but it would be nice to feel helpful again.

Lost in her thoughts, Wanda hadn't realized someone was approaching as she turned the corner. They both collided, which sent tiny Wanda to the ground. Her gray eyes looked up and widened in surprise. "Oh! I am so sorry, I didn't see you. I should be more careful." Wanda clumsily stood and moved towards Kyle. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?"

She had been laughed at Many times in Twenty years, and She had just shrugged it off. But Wanda might not have known what Their laughing meant.

Wanda blushed even further; which she didn't realize was possible. The Soul knew Melanie's face better than her own, so she knew she was only curious with her question. "No, I don't mind." Wanderer said as she walked closer to Mel so only she could hear. "I...I decided to help out in the kitchen today, instead of the field. I was making bread when...well, I hadn't realized how heavy flour could be. It fell all over me." After saying it, Wanda wondered if Melanie had ever been in embarrassing situations. Her sister seemed to strong and confident to ever experience such things.

"They...they all laughed at me. I was just going to try to clean off before anyone else saw." The blonde peeked up to meet Melanie's eye once more. "Would you...like to come with me?" They hadn't been able to see each other much now that the harvest was upon them. There was too much work to be done. Wanda was still getting used to her new body, which was prone to fatigue, so she couldn't move about as much to go see Melanie.

Melanie smiled, seeing the familiar Short blonde haired girl came into her view.Wanda looked covered in flour, which made her chuckle. It must have been a fight in the kitchen. “Had Fun In there, Wanda?”She chuckled, tilting her head to the side, watching her friend, in amusement.

The small soul looked startled, Which made Mel full out laugh.It was funny to watch the one who was like her sister experience Strange human things.Like food fights for example.

Since work in the field proved futile, Wanderer had decided to help out in the kitchen. Cooking was just as important as harvesting the food, and her tiny body could be more adaptable towards the new task. The other women in the kitchen were much more friendly towards Wanda now that she inhabited this host, but sometimes she'd wonder if it was only the body or if they had warmed up to who she was. It would be nice to have more friendships within the caves.

Wanda had been asked to help make the bread, but her tiny hands and weak arms weren't the most ideal to work with the dough and flour. When she had picked it up, the whole sack of flour had fallen all over herself. Flustered, bright red and covered in flour, Wanda left to get herself cleaned up. On her way, the Soul did her best to keep her eyes glued to the ground instead of at the curious faces of the people she passed. It was too embarrassing to show how red her face had become.

Then, Wanda heard the familiar voice and looked up to see the face which used to be reflected in the mirror. It startled her still, which caused amusement for Melanie. It was still strange to see her first body, and part of her still longed to feel the strength Mel's body has. Wanda missed all the things she could do in Melanie's body that her own body now couldn't. Wanderer let the thoughts go as she meekly gave her sister a tiny smile. "Um...well, I wouldn't use the word fun. It was more...embarrassing." Wanda peeked a glance through her long, golden lashes to see Mel's face.

He chuckled, then made show of looking around, but found none. “I’m just checking if there’s a certain O’Shea lurking around.” It was weird, hearing that same tone from a different body. Everything’s weird anyways, but Jared just had no other choice but to live by. Not that it was any hard to talk to Wanda. "Yeah, you do, but not everyone around here had to do the whole body transfer situation, so I’m sure they’ll cut you some slack. But if you insist, grab this." He forced a smile then passed her a sickle.

Wanda blushed crimson at the mention of O'Shea. She had wondered if he was here while she walked towards the fields, but her gray-reflecting eyes hadn't seen his familiar face. Once the blush had slightly subsided, the soul willed her body to meet Jared's eye again. It was so strange; staring at the face of the man who had showed her an all consuming love through Melanie. In her own way, Wanda loved Jared through her memories in Melanie, but she was happy they had all found their happiness again. Melanie had her beloved Jared, Jared got to embrace a love he thought lost, and Wanda found a life-partner with the kindest human in the strangest world.

"Thank you." Wanda said with a small smile as she took the sickle from Jared. She was mostly oblivious to different looks and tones humans did, but in the back of her mind Wanda wondered why the smile Jared gave her was so strained. Had she enraged him in some way? Or with her out of Melanie's body did he only see her as she was: the little parasite inhabiting this body? Due to how emotional her body was, Wanda felt tears prick her eyes so she turned away to focus on the task at hand. The sickle was much heavier than she remembered, and her motions were clumsy. Wanda pushed on though, determined to help before someone took the work out of her hands. "How...how are you, Jared?" The soul asked, breaking the silence which fell upon them.

It’s only been days since the whole fiasco about Wanda finally hit a proper resolution. Although despite this, Jared couldn’t just instantly flip the switch. One day he sees her as the girl who brought Melanie back and helped them out towards survival, and another, he’s seeing her as the danger magnet for more Seekers, still different. But he was trying to keep up and be social. “Are sure you’re all set for the field?”
