this is actually HILARIOUS because both domestic rabbits and domestic cats practice dominance-related social grooming but for wildly different reasons.

if you're a rabbit, the boss rabbit is the one who gets groomed by its subordinate rabbits.

I think I’ve lost my mind.

Some nights I believe it possible to be up for days at a time.

Others I believe it possible to sleep for days and no one would notice.

I find myself shrinking and growing quite frequently.

The world seems to have an awful tv glow.

I can’t escape the feeling of being watched in everything I do or say.

Couldn’t have ratings going down.

My character:

Father, Husband, Boss man.

Do the viewers like me yet? Am I putting on a good show?

What’s the watch count? 15 million? 15 thousand?

However many it must be great.

The person in the mirror tells me quite frequently

“Smile,

The show must go on”

The camera clicks the audience claps.

My makeup artist covers the bags under my eyes.

I’ve been filming a lot recently.

I think they’ve followed me home.

Arcade

I didn’t know how to approach her, the girl with dirty blonde hair. I waited and waited, waited for the right moment to come along and strike up a conversation. The darkness in the arcade was overwhelmed by flashing lights, loud noises, and kids running around. It was all quite a lot. I spent my time with my group of friends, but I knew by the end of the night I would talk to the girl with dirty blonde hair. I walked towards my favorite game, the one where you just put your tokens in and watch them fall. I started intently playing, since I was saving my tickets for the big teddy bear. When the girl with dirty blonde hair stood next to me. She was playing the game atrociously. I didn’t know what to think. So I looked at her and with one sentence a conversation began.

“You’re doing it wrong.” I say. The girl with dirty blonde hair looks at me and smiles. She motions to the game inviting me to show her how it’s done. I walk over confidently, and start placing my coins in. At first the coins fell slowly, but after each sentence that was shared between us two, they fell faster and faster. The girl with dirty blonde hair made me smile as the tickets came flooding from the machine. The tickets fell to the ground quickly and suddenly as she smiled. Our conversation grew deeper as the counter attendant counted up the tickets. My smile grew wider as the counter attendant grabbed the big teddy bear. I grabbed the bear and outside we went. I spoke to her about the game, but she knew what I was saying. I said how quickly the coins fell, and how the tickets falling below were liberating. The girl with dirty blonde hair spoke to me about the game as well. How the coins seemed to go faster and faster. How the tickets flowing reminded her of a summer river. Soon the night was over and my friends were leaving. I was sad to see that the night was done. But we said our farewells, and as I walked away, I heard the girl with dirty blonde hair say.

“My heart is like an arcade game, and you seem to have won.”

I fight sleep more often than I should. I believe it is because it reminds me of the day I almost met God and instead I saw a devil. I fear the devil will always be there waiting for me when I close my eyes.

To be beloved, that is all the heart truly yearns for. To be looked upon as if you yourself had placed the moon in the sky. I have gone quite used to chosen familial love. Also the long lasting love.

I am a “I will leave the porch light on if you ever need somewhere to stay.” And I stand by that to this day. But sometimes as I see my love in the arms of her beloved I look behind me to see if anyone is waiting for me to turn the light on and then crawl into bed into their arms
