Gilded Eeveelutions Series: Jolteon
I think this is only my second or third time drawing Jolteon, it actually has a pretty fun design
I donât think that abled bodied people appreciate how a shower can be relaxing and refreshing for them.
I canât remember the last time showering felt like that for me.
I takes so much energy to shower and I often dread showering because I know how exhausting it will make me feel during and afterwards.
Thatâs one thing I really hate about my chronic illness.
Itâs little things like having a refreshing shower that have been taken away from me that I miss.
Check out this sick string of lights I made out of pill bottles
this is the sickest fucking thing Iâve ever seen in my life (pun intented)
I have been wanting to do this!
GUYS, THIS IS IMPORTANT. Iâve been a lifeguard for four years, and I didnât fully appreciate this until a little kid jumped into the shallow end of the lap pool. He wasnât flailing. His eyes were wide in panic and h would try and push himself off the bottom, but the water was right over his head. It took me a couple seconds to register what had happened, and fortunately, another swimmer right beside the kid managed to grab him when he saw my reaction.
I was on holiday in Egypt when I was 14, and there was a 4-year-old Italian boy I had to save because no-one else even thought he was in trouble. Luckily, the water wasnât too deep and only came up to my waist, but the kid was so small it covered his head. All he did was gasp for air and angle his head up, and tried kicking off the pool floor while reaching his hands up. I sat him on the edge of the pool in the shallow end and then his mother came over and thanked me.
I didnât think much of it then, but I saved a life that day.
THIS COULD LITERALLY SAVE A LIFE.
After 2 years of lifeguarding and many more of competitive swimming I can verify this. Drowning signs are eerily quiet. It helps to catch them early. The pool I worked at had a large amount of regular clients. Iâd always keep an extra lookout for people I didnât recognize since I didnât know their swimming ability. Their face aiming towards the sky is the first thing theyâll almost always do. Especially children.
Watch did the invisible ladder with adults, Iâve read loads of reports from seasoned lifeguards that have described this same behavior. Iâm not sure why people do this perhaps it works better if you are being carried down river by a current.

it was surreal
Youâre not over exaggerating. Youâre not too sensitive. Youâre not too much. If it hurts you it fucking hurts you. If it makes you angry, then it makes you angry. Thereâs nothing wrong with you for feeling.
youâve got stardust pumping through your heart and running through your veins. you are celestial and ethereal no matter how much or how little you accomplish.
Stop waiting to be ill enough.
Youâll never feel ill enough. There will always be a little voice in the back of your head whispering that youâre fine, really, youâd be okay if you only tried harder.
That little voice isnât the voice of reason - itâs the voice of internalised ableism, and you owe it nothing.
Find someone who can help you. Apply for the benefits you need. Use the mobility aids that make your life easier. Give yourself a break.
You deserve it. You are ill enough. You arenât faking it, you arenât mooching. Youâre surviving, and you deserve a round of applause.
Your health is important!! :)
IMPORTANT !!
THIS IS A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO PLANT BEE AND POLLINATOR FRIENDLY FLOWERS THIS YEAR. LOTS OF THEM. Without pollinators we will not have fruit, chocolate, or coffee! And if youâre thinking âeh. I can live without chocolate and coffeeâ well 1.) Bullllshit. And 2.) If bees go extinct we lose nature. Pollen doesnât spread. Everything /dies/. We die. Time to move on from planting easy flowers like marigolds and zinnias. Plant things like Oregano, lilac, lavender, sunflowers, daisies, sweet pea, coneflower, honeysuckle, and wildflowers! Set up lots of hummingbird feeders this year! Donât buy the store brand chemical fluid, make your own! Itâs just sugar water! Add some chopped strawberries to add extra sweetness! Donât mow and pick those dandelions! Theyâre a bees first food after their long winter sleep!! Protect pollinators, friends. They give us life. This is so important. Spread the word and âbeeâ the change. â€đ
