zalfie prompt - zalfie breaking up?? ik it's sad but i like reading them
âAdmit youâre cheating on me.â
Zoe blinks in astonishment, unable to comprehend the words that just fell from her boyfriends mouth. âExcuse me?â
âYou heard me.â
âAre you joking me right now?â
Alfie crosses his arms across his heaving chest. His eyes are damp, his cheeks red, and his stance firm. He looks Zoe in the eye and doesnât blink as he waits for the bullet to strike him dead.
Theyâve been fighting for over an hour now. Screaming and yelling at each other so loudly that Zoe wouldnât be surprised if the neighbours called the police to report a disturbance next door. She doesnât know what had gotten into Alfie until now. He came home from his office and was in an off mood, and Zoe had been working on her new book all day too so her mood wasnât the brightest either, and somewhere along the way they butt heads. She didnât expect Alfie to change the subject from a common domestic to something about their relationship. They were fine up until today. He hasnât been acting up around her and creating distance between them. Why is this all of a sudden? He accused her of so many things in the past hour, as did she, no doubt - but this. Cheating? Thatâs beyond the line.
âIf the shoe fits.â Alfie growls through his clenched jaw.
Zoe couldnât even look at him. She turned away and paced a moment, incapable of believing that Alfie truly believes - after 4 years of a relationship - that sheâs cheating on him.Â
âIâm not cheating on you!â She screamed, voice cracking due to the previous yelling. She wiped hurriedly under her eyes when she sees that Alfie doesnât believe her. He shook his head and ran his hands through his hair.Â
âHow could you lie to me?â His voice wavered. âI know you are!â
âWith what proof!?â She defended, pushing her arms out to gesture around their kitchen. âThereâs nothing you have on me because iâm not cheating on you! What gives you the idea that-â
âMark.â
She stopped. âWhat?â
âMark Ferris. I knew it was him.â Alfie walked over to the counter and leaned on it, rubbing a hand down his hot face. âI see the way you guys talk to each other, how youâre always more playful around him compared to me. So ⊠touchy. Everythingâs just better with him. Even your youtube videos.â He paused. âI can see it.â
Zoe shook her head. âWhat you see is a figment of your imagination! Youâre making up something that isnât there.â
âYouâre a liar!â He screamed suddenly, his tone so intense it made Zoe genuinely scared. Sheâs never heard him yell like that before, and the fact that itâs at her makes it even worse.
âIâm not a liar!â She yelled at the top of her lungs.
âIâve dedicated four years to you! Iâve had plenty of other women come after me on the street and I never even gave them a second glance because I knew I was always coming home to you. How could you do this to me!?â
âI havenât done anything, Alf!â Tears are spilling from her eyes again but she doesnât wipe them.
âWhatever, Iâm done with this.â He pushed off from the ledge heâd been leaning on and Zoe thinks - for a slight second - that heâs going to hurt her, but instead he pushes past her to go to the front door. Her heart drops she rushes after him, begging him to stop when he slid on his shoes and grabbed his car keys from the bowl.Â
âAlfie, donât do this.â She pleas. âLetâs talk about this. Youâre just having a bad day. Iâm not cheating on you!â She grabbed his arm while his other one opens the front door.
Alfie shakes her grip off of him. âWeâre over.â He says, and leaves the house with the slam of the front door.
ooooooouuu can i zalfie prompt? :) just something really fluffy and cute with Alfie giving Zoe lots and lots of kisses please!
âZoe, can I have a cuddle?â
Zoe looks up from the kitchen stove to where Alfie sits at the dinner table, his arms spread wide open in her direction. She laughs lightly at the adorable look on his face but shakes her head, turning her attention back to the pot of boiling water. âNo, not now.â
Alfie drops his arms to the table in defeat, a pout forming on his lips. âWhat? Why?â
âBecause iâm cooking,â she says obviously. She picks up a bag of pasta noodles and dumps them into the pot then stirs.
âSo? Just a quick cuddle.â Alfie pleads, raising his arms again.
Zoe doesnât even look at him. She just shakes her head again. âNo, because you say itâll be just a quick one but we both know that thatâs a lie.âÂ
Alfie crosses his arms, looking offended. âNot true!â
âNot true!?â Zoe repeats, slamming the wooden spoon down on the table, making Alfie jump. She turns around and puts her hands on her hips, trying to look menacing. âAre you joking me? How many times have you made me late for something because you just wanted a âquickâ cuddle?â She raises her eyebrows at him.
Alfie innocently shrugs. âWell, itâs not like youâve ever said no.â
âWell iâm saying no now.â She says, turning her back to him. âMaybe after dinner.â
Alfie pouts again. He wanted a cuddle now, not later. It wouldnât be the same if he had a cuddle after he was full from pasta because then heâd feel bloated and wouldnât enjoy it as much. He wasnât taking no for an answer.
He stands from the table and walks over to Zoe, who clearly didnât want anything to do with him because she didnât even flinch at his presence. He wraps his arms around her waist and presses his chest against her back, resting his head on her shoulder and nuzzling his nose into her neck.
At that, Zoe reacts. She giggles and tries to push him away as she stirs the pot but the combination was not working. âAlfie! Go away! After dinner I said.â
âNo.â Alfie refuses, placing a few delicate kisses on her neck. Zoe squirms in his grasp and laughs when his kisses turn into ticklish nibbles on her skin. When she puts the spoon down on the counter, Alfie knows heâs got her.
He spins her around his arms and pins her against the counter. He refuse to let go of his grasp on her, tightening his arms around her waist while he showers her with kisses. He moves up to her cheek and presses kisses there and on her forehead and her nose. Zoeâs giggling nonstop in his arms.
âAlfie,â she wines. âIâm going to burn the pasta!â
âThatâs ok,â he says, pulling back to give her a smile. âYouâre pasta sucks anyways.â
Zoe gasps and drops her jaw in disbelief. Alfie just laughs at her and leans in to kiss the fake shook away from her face. Zoe kisses back lightly and brings one hand up to cup Alfieâs face. Alfie takes that as motivation to kiss harder so he does, bringing Zoeâs body flush against his. She tries not to laugh but some giggles tumble from her lips anyways.Â
When they pull apart, Alfie is looking smug as ever and Zoe is blushing.
âI hate you, Alfie Deyes.â She says in a teasing tone, leaning on her tiptoes to kiss him on the lips again.
Alfie shrugs. âThatâs alright. I hate your pasta.â
zalfie prompt - they get in a fight and alfie leaves to calm down at the beach & zoe tries to find him
It was cold and dark.
Alfie huddled his kneeâs closer to his chest and pulled his sweater tighter around him to keep warm. He didnât think to bring a warmer sweater when he stormed out of Zoeâs apartment hours ago. In fact, he wasnât thinking anything when he did. His mind was racing with anger and rage and the only solution that was comforting enough to settle him down was to go to the beach to watch the waves. He enjoyed seeing the sea. The smell, the sound, the view, and the feel of the rocks beneath him created a calming atmosphere where he could think properly.
Except, tonight wasnât one of those nights. It was nearing two in the morning and the beach was pitch black so he couldnât see the water, there was a fish smell lingering in the air, and it was cold. Really cold.Â
He wishes he had the guts to go back to Zoeâs apartment and warm up under one of her massive wool blankets, but after the scene he just caused - and the fact that he walked out while Zoe was begging him to not go - he feels like itâd be best for him to ring up one of his friends and ask to stay with them for night. But then he remembers that he left his phone on the counter in the kitchen, so that option was out of question.
Groaning loudly about the mess he has caused tonight, Alfie raises his head to the sky and shuts his eyes. How he got himself into this mess, heâll never understand. He regrets everything he said to Zoe. They two of them have never fought like this before and it scares him to think that maybe he buggered up their relationship for good. He doesnât even remember what they were yelling about. One thing lead to another and things got out of hand. He didnât even feel angry anymore. Only sad and upset and regretful. Maybe this is what things feel like at the end of a relationship. Maybe this was the universe telling him that his time with Zoe is coming to an end. Maybe -
âAlfie?â
It was Zoeâs voice.
Startled, Alfie opens his eyes and jerks his head to his left where he heard her faint voice. No doubt, it was Zoe, clad in one of his oversized red hoodies, a wool hat, and matching wool mittens. She looked absolutely adorable in her little ensemble but now wasnât the time to think about that.
âZoe,â Alfie says, standing up from the rocks as she approaches. He wants to so badly reach out and hug her - touch her even - but then he spots her smudged mascara and puffy red eyes. He swallows thickly, knowing damn well that he was the cause for those tears.
âAre you stupid or something?â Zoe accuses, crossing her arms tightly around her chest. âItâs bloody freezing out and you didnât even bring a jacket. You are honestly so dumb, Alfie Deyes!â
Alfie raises an eyebrow. âWhat?â He asks, trying to make sense of her sudden behaviour.
âItâs 2am in the bloody morning! Youâre going to catch a cold out here wearing nothing but that stupid sweater. I swear to god I feel like your mother half the time. Come on, letâs get you warmed up.â She takes Alfieâs arm and links it with hers. She begins pulling him along off the beach and in the direction of her flat. Alfie doesnât stop her but does give her a very confused look.
âWhat are you doing?â He asks.
âTaking you home.â She answers flatly, refusing to look at him.
âYouâre not still mad?â
âOh no, iâm still mad.â She deadpans.
âBut then why are you here?â
Zoe brings them to a stop in the middle of the sidewalk. They are stood under one of the street lamps and Alfie can get a clear view of Zoeâs face now. Her cheeks are as red as her eyes, her eye makeup is smeared around the corners, and her mouth was pressed in a firm line across her face. There was nothing but animosity.Â
It made him feel even worse.
âBecause, Alf, you stormed out of my bloody apartment!â She exclaims. âI thought you were going to wonder the streets and get hit by a car or something in your state.â
âSo you came looking for me?â
âYeah, and it wasnât easy.â She huffs. âIâve been walking around for the past half hour looking for you in this cold. I canât feel my fingers or my toes. So letâs go home so I can-â
Zoe tugs on his sleeve to get him moving again but Alfie doesnât budge. âHold on,â he raises a hand. âSo, youâre still mad about our fight but you came out to find me anyways?â
Zoe looks at him like heâs completely stupid. âObviously.âÂ
âBut ...â He looks to his feet, guilt washing over him. âI made you cry.â
Itâs silent for a moment. Then, Zoe walks up to him and tilts his chin up with her finger. Thereâs a small smile on her face. âIâm not crying now.â
âBut you were.â
âBut iâm not anymore.â She moves her hand to cup his cheek and rubs his stubble with her thumb soothingly. âOne thing you need to understand about relationships, Alfie, is that they have their ups and downs. Weâre probably going to have many more fights in our life. Maybe not to this extent, but still fights. And the trick to them is still staying with the other person after the yelling and screaming is over.â
She her words are so genuine and she looks so hopeful with what sheâs said that Alfie canât help but mimic the smile she has on her face. He leans forwards and presses a linger kiss on her forehead.
âI donât understand how you can still put up with me.â
